Sorry mate, I kept missing the updates and I've only just noticed the order details.
Paypal sent for 4 as requested.
Any news on the sheilds?
-
Mike
Fantastic weathering Sir, your eye for detail is truly unequalled :o
As always, I'm in total awe of your superb work.
I'm lucky enough to have a set of TM's armour for my TK and I personally
think that it as to be the best and most detailed suit of armour ever made.
I think TM's stuff is without doubt in a class of its own.
The man is a true artist

Just a quick bump on this thread.
Does anyone have the concept artwork of the sandtroopers with bandoliers???
Thank you
Luke
Luke
The only concept artwork of the sandtroopers that I have are these
Alex Tavoularis story board art work of a trooper looks like it may of had bandoliers
Ralph McQuarrie art work
Alex Tavoularis story boards
Hope this helps

:o WOW!!! :o
How good does that look
I'm laughing at myself, because we're all getting so excited over this, its just like we're
little kids and I don't care, because its so flipping BRILLIANT
-
Just about got the dial done, but need to find the correct font. This is just a sample gif file, but I have the original as Vector art I'll continue to refine.
Mike
I think the font they used was of the 'Eurostile' family of fonts, possibly 'Extended #2'
see what you think
Not too sure what they used for the dial numbers but I'll take a look at some of the
font sites to see if I can come up with anything
-
As Jason said you can use the rough measurements of the Boy Scout pack frame along with Mikes
and maybe the length between Lewis Collins wrist and elbow
-
I'm currently working on a Vector illustration for the dial, about 75% done, but still need some help on the fonts.
Mike
I remember using this font with the old 'Letraset' sheets, but I can't for the life of me remember
what the bloody thing was called
-
Here's another one to throw into the mix, possible 'D' ring on the side of the case
I thought this was part of the strap at first but on Rocko's photo its still there
-
I still can't believe we've found it
I noticed a few more new things that we can add to our packs until someone
manages to find the 'real deal'
And I know this seems secondary to such a fantastic achievement, but....
Jason (TK-J) I hope you get the prize that you so magnificently deserve
Okay. Art, Lewis and I have been talking about the radio on the backpacks. They obviously used a real radio from somewhere. I'm just going to throw this out there....
IF SOMEONE WILL FIND OUT WHAT RADIO THAT IS ON THE BACKPACK, I WILL GIVE THEM $1500 WORTH OF SCI-FIRE STUFF IN RETURN!!! PLEASE DEAR GOD SOMEONE FIND THE FRIGGIN' RADIO SO I CAN REST AT NIGHT.

Jason
You are DEEE MAN! :o
History will forever shout your name as the man who lead us to one of the biggest discoveries
that as eluded some many, for so long.
Thank you Sir!
-
Yerrh, I agree it does look like its a white or silver design on green background
and the more I look at it that does look like 447
I was thinking that the logo could be an oval globe with a name throgh the center
a bit like a squashed version of the Pan Am logo
-
Rolf
Congrates mate for hitting your 3000th post, well done Sir!!
Getting back to the radio, I know we still have to identify the maker / brand but we do
have a couple of new details that we can add to our packs to get them nearer to the
real thing that we didn't have before this fantastic new discovery
-
Jason and Luke
Brilliant work!!!, you's guys have nailed it
Now we need to find out who made the little buggar
Well done guys, we're a step closer solving the mystery
-
Nathan
If you still need the cistern / siphon let me know and I'll sort one out for you from the UK
-
These are certainly real radios. I saw one on the 1977 British TV series "The New Avengers", season 2 episode "Obsession". The bad guy was listening to it as he was about to launch a missile into the heart of London to kill a foriegn diplomat.
Jason
Any chance you can get a screen grab of it, it could help in tracking it down
and maybe a few more of Diana Rigg in a leather cat suit would help as well Hubba-Hubba
Sorry, just notice you said '77, that would be Dame Joanna in a designer boiler suit
-
This is surely a thing of beauty and I can't wait to see it
Rolf, Rocko, Fletcher
All we have to do now is set up an 'imitation arms' smuggling syndicate to Europe
and we can get our grubby little hands on this master piece...MMMWAHH-HAHH-HAHH!
-
Nathan
Nice one mate
How 'bout your burger stackers, have you got them sorted as well?
-
Pappy
Yerrp, Got to agree with the 2 Mikes, Goro's life-size Dewback was and is the ultimate
sandtrooper prop. That thing is just unbelievable :o
The Australian Garrison boys have made the Cantina, its in a post on here some where.
How 'bout some Moisture Farmers
Sorry, I couldn't help it
-
emmm, thats a toughy
Instinct would be to ban him because you can, but if he's attitude on "Fett Freaks" is
the same as any other member then that makes it a lot harder to justify why you
want to do it. If he steps out of line then you could fry his backside with no come backs.
If he is giving you greif , slagging you off and being a 'A**HOLE' on "Jango Junkies" then
the Mods should jump in and have a word with him and tell him to cut it out or he's toast.
Its a toughy mate, if you ban him it may bring a big fat cheesy grin to your face but he will
no doubt slag you off even more on the other site for doing it.
This could all get very messy if you're not careful,....deep breath,....and count to ten
-
Art
You can see it even clearer if you turn it in a negative
I think they must of taken the piece off because it may have interfered with filming
the scenes. Its possible that the piece that was there some how balanced up the look
with the radar dish at the bottom, maybe an aerial of some sort?
Be great to find out what it was
-
.....He ain't no Man,....him be a.... WIZARD!!!!
-
Rocko
I think you're right mate
Parts must have dropped off during filming and they just left them off, thinking that no
one will notice. But they didn't think about guys like us examining them inch by inch
all these years later and spotting most of the details
-
Pappy
I think you're 100% right about my question about pack #4,
its the E11 of the trooper following up behind
I must get some new glasses
I think your highlighted areas of the pack are interesting as well.
The radio face plate is definitely upside down and there seems to be a part missing
at the top left. Could those 4 'strips' be the bottom of the seed tray?
-
Pappy
That looks like the top of the pack frame to me mate
The other thing I noticed about pack #4 was that it seems to have some loose
part hanging off on the right side edge, near the top of the burger stackers.
I can't seem to match it up to other parts shown on the other packs,
any ideas?
I'm still alive
