  1. Nice thanks for doing that bro.

My head is perfectly proportioned for my body if I was 8 ft tall. SO the MRCE seemed like the smallest I could get

but after looking at those beauties seems like I might be able to squeeze into one.. hmmmm

  2. These are a few of my favs, while not as colorful as Frak I think these have their own merits...

Stuck-up half-witted scruffy looking nerf herder

    Laugh it up, fuzzball.

I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee

Scoundrel? Scoundrel? I like the sound of that

    Hurry up, goldenrod!

Rebel Scum/ We don't need there scum

  3. Yes I believe there was only one T-21 in ANH that is being carried by the Sandy with the orange pauldron.

Looking at the movie it is clear that they used 2 orange pauldrons which can be seen on screen together a few times.

Interesting enough the orange pauldron Sandys are the only guys seen carrying all three BFGs and the E-11 at different

    parts of the movie.

But if you are wondering if only an orange trooper should carry the T-21 then you would have to make sure

you do not wear your back pack if you wanted to be screen actuate. And do a tuck and roll :P

  4. So, so true...

Last year while taking a break during a troop, a few TKs and I decided to

take off our buckets and cool off. Well all the TKs gently put there helmets down

making sure that they did not get a scratch. Well I took off my helmet and placed it upside down

on one of those big outdoor ash treys that they have in front of stores.

They all looked at me in horror, I simply picked up my helmet showed them where the gravel was still sticking to it

    and simply said....

    "WEATHERING"

Yea not our finest moment I guess..

If you look you can see I forgot my left glove in my truck and the girl to my left knocked one of my pouches off and is bending over to pick it up.....

That is why I am looking down

Well maybe this year we can get it right

    -blank look-

    uhhh move along move along

  6. Great picture,

yea I missed the 501st picture cuz I think I was doing the Official Star Wars Breakfast.

I hope there is no over lap this year, since the SW Breakfast is a must do for me and the best way to start off

Saturday's Con.... Well not as good as pistol whipping the Twilight Fans but one can't have everything now can we?

Nol SD Comic-Con is a beast everyone should do at least once..

Honestly it should be a right of passage for anyone in the 501st.

There is nothing like walking in full gear on the main floor with 100,000 nutty

sci-fi fans most of which want to take a picture with you.

Last year my wife kept count since she wrangles for me most of the time and

I stopped and took pictures with close to 200 people. And I was not in armor for that long either.

missed that one, we took this one on Saturday

  7. It may seem a little early but I just wondering who was planning on going this years San Diego Comic-Con?

Last year we ended up taking this picture when a few of us got together.

Would be cool to get a few more people for a larger group picture.

Maybe we could wrangle up an MEPD banner.

  8. Why do I like Sandtroopers?

    Cuz they are wicked cool...!

They look like they just walked out of a battle and most dig the dirt!

    My Favs are

1 SANDTROOPERS (One has a lethal weapon in its hands the other is a Sandtrooper)

and believe it or not if I had to go Sith Loard I would pick Starkiller from The Force Unleashed. Who has to be

one of the coolest SW charaters to never be in any of the 6 movies.

  9. This is the footage that aired last night.

To keep George happy I have edited out the cool parts .....(blinks)

    * Note how before 3:59 we are standing still and after everyone is visibly more animated. This is because we were told not to stand around like statues. :P

and a big thank you email that the Southern California Garison receaved today from PBS

Hi Sam, Lori, Lesley, and all the 501st folks who showed up at KPBS,

I wanted to let you know about the results from last night's KPBS debut of The Making of Star Wars in Concert. Before the broadcast, we all made predictions as to what it would make. Most guesses were in the $3000 to $6000 range, which would have been great for a one hour show. I guessed $17,500 and everyone laughed at me. Frankly, I thought it was an absurd guess, but I like making ridiculous predictions.

As I said on the night of the taping, even if show didn't make a single dollar, we would be extremely grateful for your help because the crew had such a blast having the 501st at the station. But it turns out that in addition to making everyone happy, you also helped make KPBS history! We received $19,775 in support of KPBS from 88 contributions during the broadcast of Star Wars in Concert. That was the most successful single hour of fundraising we've ever had on our TV station!!! Everyone at KPBS was shocked. Even I was shocked, and I had high hopes for the show.

We had to scramble all day to rearrange our ticket deal with the promoters because we ran out of tickets. Thankfully, it looks like we will have more for the Wednesday broadcast and it will likely air again as well.

I just wanted to let you know that the 501st has some serious gloating rights. Thank you so much for all of your help. We really appreciate it.

    Best regards,

    Andy Trimlett

    Producer
