  1. WoodChuck here. Great job on the silver dry- rub weathering. Glad to be of service.
  2. Woodchuck here. Each time I build something, I try to tweak the design. I don't see these minor changes as improvements, just perhaps more detail.
  3. Woodchuck here. Roger roger, thanks for your input. I too felt that the grip would be weak if left as is, so I have added a solid layer of 1/8 baltic birch ply wood to the other side of the grip and receiver. You just can't see it in the WIP photo, since it's on the backside, LOL.
  4. WoodChuck here. This switch upgrade is proving to be way more time consuming then i anticipated. I would have to increase the price of the long irfle for this mod on that blasster, IF (big IF), it is even possible to do the mod. there isn't much room in that area of the receiver on the long rifle. Chuck
  5. WoodChuck here. This photo shows the trigger switch mod, or upgrade for this run. Pressing this micro switch momentarily turns ON/OFF any electronic circut connected to it. The wiring is long enough to reach well into the barrel area. WIP continues. the eye surgery had some complications, and I've had to limit my time in the workshop, but progress is being made, and this project should go quickly now. Thanks, Chuck
  6. Woodchuck here....................ah.........you are, it was yours I shrunk OMG!!! Just kidding. the mini version is going to a troopers son, and photos should show up here upon delivery.
  7. WoodChuck here. As many of you know, I am working on a run of T-21's for the Sand Troopers, and came across a piece of wood that still had A LOT of moisture in it. That's a BAD thing, moisture causes warping, cracking, even incrdeible shrinking..........................
  8. Woodchuck here. 72 and sunny today, had to mow the lawn. Ocala Florida
  9. WoodChuck here. Here's another WIP photo. All four BFG's are built to this stage, and the work continues.
  10. Woodchuck here. I use a mini-production line set up to build stuff. Four barrels, then four couplers, etc, so there is only going to be a day, maybe two between the time all four of these are shipped, LOL.
  11. If you hear the sound it makes, doesn't that mean the shooter missed??
  12. WoodChuck here. This project has begun. Here is the first WIP photo: I started with the front barrel and coupler mods. My bro-in-law turns the front section of the T-21 barrel, and the coupler that connects the receiver to the barrel, from a piece of solid pine or poplar. Then I used my band saw and cut out the center portion of each piece. This gives an opening'with about a two inch diameter. If I make the hole any bigger, the wood barrel would lose it's strength. Enjoy, Chuck
  13. WoodChuck here. I am going to start this run tomorrow, JAN 24th. All four slots are taken, all four orders are confirmed. 1. Merk Man 2. TB-2945 3. Peter 4. TD-9323 I will post WIP photos as the run progresses.
  14. Roger roger, BTW, thanks for the positive comments about your purchase.
  15. Woodchuck here. No..........................LOL Can I ask you to PM me after i get started on the run? I haven't built the switches yet, so I have no idea how big a deal it's going to be, and the same goes for making the front barrel hollow. Right now i think it would be cheaper for you to send me your BFG for modification, but again, until i know what I am doing, right now I have to say..no. Thanks Chuck
  16. WoodChuck here. yes the ON/OFF switch is a new upgrade. I finally had the cataract surgery on my RIGHT eye, as the LEFT eye was done on OCT 13th, and that was a mess. The lens they implanted was the wrong correction, so that had to heal completely before I could get a piggy-back lens put in on top of the first one. Now it appears they got it right the first time with my RIGHT eye, I can see without glasses. I am going to start this run NLT JAN 24th, instead of JAN 14th, because my eye has to heal before I can get it loaded with sawdust. Here is the 2011 T-21 BFG official run list: 1. Merk Man 2. TB-2945 3. Peter 4.TD-9323 I will contact each of you when the build begins to comfirm your interst at that time. WIP photos will follow once I can get on this project...........
  17. Woodchuck here. I am going to start a run of T-21's on Jan 14th. How many troopers are ready to confirm an order at this time? If you have PM'd me already, please reply to this thread, as I had some PC issues here and lost a lot of PM's, messages, and replies. Photos of my version of the T-21 can be seen here: http://woodchuck.imperial-web.com However, I am going to add an ON/OFF switch in the trigger, and make the front section of the barrel hollow. $325 plus shipping. All overseas purchases will ship UNPAINTED to keep the customs officials happy.
  18. WoodChuck here. Hey, who knew? Seems there are TWO versions of the Verpine Sniper Rifle. The original version has the long barrel and butt stock, and the NEW version is shorter overall. I have one of the "Shorty Verps'" ready to ship. PM me for pricing and shipping details.
  19. WoodChuck here. I had a rare photo op today. Here is a photo of a bunch of blasters and pistols that are waiting to be loaded onto Satna's sleigh: DC-17 - Verpine snper rifle, Long Barrel - Verpine sniper rifle, short barrel RC side arm - Two animated version Death Watch pistols
  20. WoodChuck here. Congrats on the Dad gig. new babies are cute, espiecally at the six week point when they first open their eyes....... Oh Wait! that's puppies.never mind, Enjoy your fatherhood, it is life changing in the best of ways.
  21. WoodChuck here. I just received a commission to build a DC-17 blaster. Is there anyone else who is ready to purchase one during NOV-DEC? It is just as easy to build up a run of them as it is to make just one. Please LMK ASAP, as i only buy my building supplies as i need them. Thanks, Chuck
