Was a pleasure to be in the film Gaz, neat work can't wait to see the end product

Very steep price to pay, I made mine for about £40,

Not claiming it to be the best back pack in the world but it's a good solid build and has lasted many of troops! and many more troops to come

This was made from one days worth of filming,,Well done Gaz for filming/putting this together..And well done to everyone that turned up at the shoot

Hi all i think that this is the best place if any to ask if i am up to 501st standards!

I now know that to be a part of M.E.P.D i need to be apart of the 501st in the U.K.,,Get my T.D. I.D. Issued then request deployment with you guys.

Reason i ask is that i have some pictures i want to request to get deployed but i do not have a 501st TD I.D. number??

[MG15 scratch build]

Here are some pictures of my MG15 scratch build, what ya all think?

[Fuller's Earth - local places to get it?]

I've just finished painting my armour and ready to weather it. I have an event at the end of the week and kinda presumed that Fuller's earth was something I would find at the local hobby shops. Apparently that was wrong.

I've read somewhere that this could be available at hardware stores, but Lowes didn't know anything of it. Maybe it goes under another name?

I'm also up in Canada, near Toronto if it makes any difference.

I used this stuff in the British army, it is also called D.K.P. one, Used for NBC warfare to decontaminate your personal kit comes in small puffer bottles,,Try an army surplus shop or just have a look on eBay for it, cost no more than 50p per bottle...

Myself and a few fellow Sandie's, bounty hunters and TK's trooped a a wax works museum in Blackpool England..

It was the most fun i have ever had at a troop

We blend in within the set and wait until a victim passes by and jump out on them,,

You need to try to blend/smudge the paint work a bit if you know what i mean.

Personally, i think Rolf's looks like he's walked straight off the set. Love the weathering.

Here you see mine ...

Don't get me wrong your armor looks great, however the dirt looks like it has been placed there..if you know what i mean..It don't look random/natural to me..the armor has to look lived in.

Thank you all for the comments..I am more than happy to be a very dirty trooper...I did the pictures like that as it adds depth and character to the helmet better than full front and full on side shots,

The blast mark was made by mistake, i spilled some humbrol matt black on my lid from painting the inside i went to rub it off and it made a nice effect,

Hence i made it what it is now and kept it..So just blob some matt black on your lid and smudge it with your finger..

I will get some pics of it in normal daylight, and in full armor for my clearance pics..

What you all think of my lid ? I think i am finally happy with it now, i must of weathered it about five or six times now in total..

And then i discovered fullers earth

I just have to get my back pack finished now then i will be sending in some clearance pictures, and hopefully joining the ranks.
