HOEHA, doesn't matter if we are small dot on the globe. We as troopers will check the citys, and adverts of the dark side (and , of course, beaches ) on the hot sunny days...

I know what you mean with "the weathering looks to clean". Reason why it looks like that way is because the photo isn't the rigth colour. It has to be 3 shades darker!
70% of the brown wheathering is real reddish finely broken rock. I'll make a few close-ups so you see the grain of the rock on it.
I'll put some extra ligther broken rock on it so it will have a better look, I know you'll see that it will have a better real life look.
Could also place the ANH helmet on the beach when there is a good strong wind..I'll get the same weathering

Well I think that the armor what TD have still be quite dirty, because when you troop a lot, it will stay in all small openings. SO the dirt will partly clean the armor but (especially when it's a reddish colour) will colour the armor. But it will clour where it stays.
Also the harsh suns will have a bad effect on the white colour..So it will colour oddly
I wheathed my helmet partly with paint and partly with crushed reddish rock. Also I made some real marks if the helmet has been really sandblasted with sand and fine pebbles.

I knew that..my Dutch TDs.
Ok That would also be a way to get a proper Lewis gun.
Still I'm going to build my own serie of them..

OK I have weathered a ANH helmet (was a self build from Scotland). Because there were some mayor visual problems with the helmet, it was the best to change this bucket into a good weathered helmet.
I got into the zone when I was busy, and I repaired also all the little mistakes.
Yep there is a blastmark which hit this helmet at this side.
and the best photo is the following
To be sure that the weathering would look real-life. I used sandpaper, heatguns and everything which would partly wheather this helmet.
Airbrushing
* I used to colour the helmet in 3 white and white-yellow colours.
* Sandcolour to make the first colouring of the marks
* real sand and dry and superheated ground to make the 3D marks of weathering.
The photo's have to be 3 shades darker, but I haven't got a perfect camera.
But this ANH helmet was from an old senior in battles with the Rebels and mercians.
I think and hope that this helmet has got enough requirements to become a good TD.

But still IMPS looks cool especially the trailer. I know there are some awful mistakes with that uniform. But I find a lot of inspiration on that one,
I'll make a better more improved one which will work properly and is a lot darker than all the others..you'll see..

Thanks wanabe!!! I was just pondering how to make this one myself. But this is easy!! HOEHA...
hopefully they send it to my adres in the Netherlands..

Amazing..I know it costs a lot of time to build these...planning to build one for myself. But from wood and tubes. I already made a sniper myself from the same material.
But it's tempting, to purchase this one...looks cool

Whauw!!! Impressive, and it looks not so diffecult to make. Thanks lad for all the picures now I have a template to work with.
I know I need enough time to make and finish my sandtrooper costume so this is a good extra job..

Hmmmm...to bad that I live outside the USA. so the Hyperfirm can't be send to me...
OK that issue is now solved.

Great wheathering and a great helmet.. especially the chips which are partly flaked of..and the sand which is just on the rigth place!
-
Thanks I'm just searching for a good and usable MG34 for trooping. Yep found a site but I want to compare the prizes.
see ya

Whauw I've read the whole stuff about real- and the fake mg34s. For me is only 1 point important.
I want to troop with it!
So the heavier it gets, the least chance it will use it. But just a question overall. OK I got the C.shman site but are there more sites for fake MG34s? Just compairing them in prize would be a good plan.
