  1. A penguin is taking a drive down a country road on a warm summer day. A couple of hours into the drive, his car dies and smoke starts coming out from under the hood. The penguin calls for a local tow truck and has his car towed to a garage at the nearest town. At the garage, the mechanic tells the penguin to come back in an hour. With nothing to do, the penguin decides to check out the town. After walking for a little while, the penguin gets hot and decides to stop by an ice cream shop. He orders a small bowl of vanilla, but after tasting it, he decides to buy a whole gallon and gobbles it down. Refreshed, but with his face covered in ice cream, he heads back to the garage. When he arrives, the mechanic slides out from under the penguin's car, looks at him and says, "looks like you blew a seal." The penguin quickly rubs his face and says, "Oh no!...it's just ice cream."
  2. It rubs the blaster on its skin or else it gets the hose again. ...sorry...carry on.
  3. Thanks, I've seen that one too, but I'm looking to mod out the Hasbro blaster. Seems like it would be less work, since I don't really have the tools or room to fabricate one. Plus, I'm horrible at cutting out parts, even out of plastic. My knee plate attempt was so bad it looked like Ray Charles had put it together...had to buy one instead.
  4. Thanks, those are both good tutorials. But in the one I saw, the author removed the T-tracks, and then drilled in holes all around the barrel. The rows were staggered though, just like they are with the PVC tutorial.
  5. I found a web page not long ago that had a really thorough, step-by-step guide for converting a Hasbro E-11. This included drilling extra holes in the barrel and other mods. Does anyone know the site I'm talking about? If so, could you post a link? I've tried searching for it over and over, but so far no luck. Thanks.

This is more of what we were working on... (I haven't cleaned up the photo yet by the way)

Because I didn't like the position of the helmet in this one... It was shot on the spur of the moment, so I didn't put a whole lot into it. I'd love to do one in the desert sometime, but I'd prefer to have someone with Femtrooper armor. My pieces were just too big for her, so I couldn't incorporate more of them into the photo. Trust me, this isn't anywhere near my best work. I was shooting portraits for her, so the backdrop isn't the best for a 3/4 body shot. Next one will be a lot better.
  8. Looks like a designer birthday cake and people have been removing the frosting.

I would actually love to do one. Here's a link to my photography page on MySpace. If anyone has contacts with some of the galactic beauties out there, refer them to me and let's see if we can come up with one. http://www.myspace.com/edburnsphoto

I know...but what about the girl? I was talking about the girl, perhaps I should have said: SHE looks awesome. And she DOES Just yankin' yer chain. Now if I could just find some Femtroopers that would want to shoot with me...

  12. Very nice helmet! Look forward to seeing what you do with it.
  13. What do you think?...should I hang this in my locker?
  14. Ugottaruba (Actually, that's what some girl from Boston asked me one night at my place )
  15. ****...and I just got rid of my scout helmet. Ok, here are some of my ideas... Blastestruct Steadyblast Simublast Simunitionz Plastattack
  16. Yes!! If you could pick up two, that'd be great! I'll PM you. Thanks!
  17. Grrrrrr... Ok, I went to the only WalMart that I know of in my area and they didn't have it. Any chance you could get a hold of a few for me? Or anyone else out there?
  18. Sweet! Sounds good too. So I take it you removed the chip from the toy, right? Also, was the toy that "Ben 10" changer?
  19. That sounds like a good idea. How accurate is the sound? And how compact is it? I mean, if you were to take out the interior electronics.
  20. So, I've slowly been piecing together my helmet. Paint came out great, so did the weathering (IMHO). Next, I used a tip from "Dave's Garage" on how to get a static burst by using a REAL cheap sound recorder from Radio Shack. I then got a pair of Stomper's speaker mics (AWESOME!! by the way) and connected the sound recorder to them. Last but not least came the sound. I managed to get a Radio Shack speaker amp (the long black one that looks like an eclair) on ebay for a good price. Removed all the innards and created a small plastic box for the sound board to go into. Today, I finally found a place for it to fit in the helmet, wired it together and connected the microphone. Powered it up, got no feedback and was ready to rock. BUT, when I spoke into the mic, the sound out of the speakers sounded just like...me. So now I'm trying to figure out a way to get that reverberated sound, to make my speakers sound more like the ones in the movies. I really don't want to slap down over $100 for soundboard, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
  21. But we're not at war with CUBA...
  22. Much better. Looks good.
  23. Looks great, but don't they make you hands sweat something fierce? That's the only reason I'm reluctant to go with the rubber gloves.
