Now you all know what this means... Official release troop!!!
-
Happy "Birthday", then!
-
Metallica is a must.
Blues, SW music... come to think of it, I have a lot of weird music on my iPod...
-
I would LOVE to have this as a full-blown painting on the wall!!
-
Happy Birthday Rolf!!
-
That's such good news Rolf! Glad to hear it turns in your favor.
-
Keeping my fingers crossed, Rolf. wish you all the luck!
-
Just remember not to pick up any dropped soap, if you're in the shower...
-
I simply cut up 2 Blaklader kneepads, and glued them inside.
-
Really nice pack! Wish it could be mine, but must agree on what is said above.
I've never met Nathan myself, but from what I've heard, he's a real standup guy. And I can't think of anyone else that deserves this pack more.
-
Very sorry to hear this, Rolf.
To be honest though, I can't believe she actually left her child?! No mother would normally do that! This maybe shows her character better than anything else.
My thoughts are with you, brother! Let me know if there's anything I or all of us can do.
-
Hmmm... How about us cat lovers?
-
IMO, we should try to capture the canonical sandtrooper. But hey, that's just me!
-
In the comics, they often use the words "Sithspit" and "Sithspawn"
-
I'd DEFINETLY buy one of those!
Rolf; I've said this before, but you'r an absolute master when it comes to graphics/arts!
-
I'm playing and working on stuff still... quit noticing everything! Geez.
Sir, yes Sir!
-
Just out of curiousity, but why does it say Deployed underneath my avatar? Last time I checked, I wasn't deployed...
-
I bought my throat-mic here: http://www.firefoxtechnologies.com/product/FF-C/Commando-Edition-Throat-Mic.html
Any PA-system that uses a speaker with built-in amp will do just fine. I needed an extra plug, because the mic uses a mini-jack, while my speaker uses standard 3.5 jack.
I'll try to take pictures of it, but right now I'm in the process of trying to fit the speaker in the shoulder-pouch.
-
I'm using a VERY simple setup. Throat-mic, with push-to-talk, and an amplifier.
Basically, the speaker with amp is from an PA system commonly used by guides, so it's loud enough. The throat-mic helps with making it easier to take the helmet on/off. Now the key is the PTT button. Whenever I press it to talk, you hear a distinct click in the speaker. Likewise when I let go of it after speaking. So I have no need for costly FX-cards...
Actually, it sounds so good, that alot of other garrison members have started using the same setup!

Absolutely amazing!!
Rolf, you make me want to live in Copenhagen under your tutorlage!
-
Here's my mug shot:
And a couple of my favorite ones with some celebs:
Me and lance Henriksen
Me and Michael Winslow (and a fellow trooper from Nordic Garrison)
Me and Ken Colley
Now, how to meet Anthony Forrest...
-
Looking really good there, Marine!
Hopefully, they'll get your designation squared away pretty quick, so... Welcome to the madness!
-
Looks beautiful!
Noel, marry me?

Elite is the ultimate screen accuracy of ordinary stormtroopers, where as Deployed is the ultimate screen accuracy for sandtroopers.Blindly buying something on eBay is exactly what led me here. I first looked at Rubies (yikes!) then I started looking for kits and I quickly realized I needed help.
I have seen armor up close. I actually work at Disneys Hollywood Studios and I always see the 501st backstage during star wars weekends. At first, I don't think I need it to be screen accurate but I also don't want something that strays too far from accurate.
As for Stormtrooper or Sandtrooper at first I just wanted a costume and start trooping, but after seeing what's possible I honestly would have to say Sandtrooper.
What's the difference between deployed and being elite?
Good luck in your armor quest!

A guy in the Nordic Garrison used to have an SDS armor. It is nice looking, but the price?! I'd stick to either one of the persons we know that we CAN trust.
