Hi folks,
well my new pack is done at last , needed to get a decent one made as my old one was a big heavy pile of bantha dirt.
there is one bit missing on the pic , the shotgun shells , forgot to screw them on before I took the pic . Anyway, I've given the pack a bit of light weathering just to give it a used look.
What I need to know is would it be good enough for 501st acceptance and MEPD deployment ?
Cheers,
Andy.

Hiya Simon ,

Cheers, yep it certainly is a rubies
yuck. thats all i can say is yuck. After getting one myself (as my first 501st attempt and trying to modify it) that costume is just disgusting. yuck.
Completely agree , but it's a cheap fix !

Amazing....pure class.
The armor has really been put together well.
Normally the biggest let down is the gap between the upper thigh and lower leg.
This certainly isn't a problem with your armor.
The weathering is just right as well. Some people go over the top.
This is the best ive seen in a while. ELITE STATUS.
well as soon as that strap disappears anyway!
Top respect mate.
Ps the other troopers look good......
cheers
Cheers Chef ,
It was a little Dorset troopers event that my wife sorted out,we had a really nice day.
Don't worry about the strap , it's been snipped away already
Dark Knight (guz) is in the TK , I'll pass on your regards to him.

Here's the first pics of my new armor , decided to wear it at a little event today in aid of the breast cancer charity.
What do you think ? obviously there's no backpack on at the moment , couldn't wear it in the shop I would of knocked everything off the shelves.
And please ignore the strap that's popped out on my right upper leg !

Thanks for all the replys and words of wisdom.
If I was to look for a TE2 or TM lid , where would I start and how much could I expect to pay.
Cheers,
Andy

Cheers guys ,
I'm looking into a RT-Mod at the moment. Want to go as accurate as funds will allow. The RT does look like a good bucket.
Seth, are the TM and TE2 helmets not abs ?
Andy.

Ok , I have a problem....
Firstly I have all my armor ready to go and modded , it's only FX armour but I like it and it's been with me a long time, I have done the ab plate , pouches , knee plate , canvas belt , got rid of the ribbed straps , hand plate is sorted ,drop boxes have been removed,no holster, backpack is built , armour is all weathered and just got hold of one of the Freaks excellent MG34's.
My only concern now is the helmet. I weathered it at the same time as the rest of the suit , it's got 4 teeth drilled out , flat green lenses and correct decals fitted. But..... I'm not entirley happy with it , because it's an FX lid it is oversized , I'm only 5'10" and I think it looks kind of bobble headed !
I do have a GF helmet on the shelf but it's a hero helmet and would need to have work done to it to bring it upto spec , plus I don't fancy changeing it as I've grown quite attached to it.
So I suppose I should start looking for a new helmet , I have been trawling through ebay for a few weeks but all there seems to be are fibreglass and FX lids.
I would prefer an ABS helmet but not another FX one.
So my question is.....
What would be the best type of helmet to keep my eyes out for ?
Cheers,
Andy.

Really glad to be accepted onto the boards and looking forward to many happy hour of posting !
Had my Sandtrooper armour for 8 years now , it's still my favourite costume to wear while trooping.
Will be posting pics shortly for deployment .
