you know it took me 10 mins looking at this picture to realize there were 2 guys in armor in it
I was also distracted by the other "pair" in that pic Exactly the sort of filling every trooper sandwich should have

A couple of pics of my finished IC...

I like the set-ups I plan on wearing mine with my TD and a few extra bits. No added color tho, just an orange pauldron. Pics up later.

Once you have loaded your pics into photobucket, you can choose the size of them to be displayed. When you scroll over the pic, the display code pops up. Under that is LINK OPTIONS. Click on that and check "Clickble Thumbnail" under "IMG for bulletin boards & forums". This will allow you to post heaps of pics, that can be brought up to original size by viewers ad also allows people ith really slow internet to load pages quicker.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
That looks just AWESOME !! Will this be a one time project ?! KILLER one bro !
Grtz RAY
I don't have any casting skill at all Ray so yes, it's a one-off.
Do you had any pics with the micronocs from the top? Good job btw sir!!
Get some more this arvo pappy
That's pretty cool J! That thing must weigh a ton though.
I'm used to heavy lids Zac, I have 4 fg buckets, and this is nothing compared to the MR Vader If they're padded out properly you hardly notice.
Wow!
That looks great! What does the rest of the armor look like?
Or suppose to look like?
I have absolutely no idea. I got the idea from a helmet listed on Canadian ebay a week or so ago. I didn't get the necessary clearance to buy one so I thought I'd have a go a making one. It has been suggested that it could be concept of Karen Traviss' new book "Imperial Commando", but I don't know.

Didn't know where else to put this so here it is.
A few days ago I spotted this kit on Feebay...
I had an old fibregalss TK lid floating around so I thought I'd have ago at doing one myself. Started off filling all the unwanted holes with auto body filler...
Then I used a spare resin clone elbow strap as the fin...

That's some **** fine weatherin' GZ. I particularly like the grey bits.....sets off to find grey weathering kit.....

Good looking kit there Guz. Love them Jawas. I'd like to put my girls in Jawa outfits but they're not keen

I'll grab another 5 if theres any left Chuck. LMK.

Great find there.
It's things like this that give me the shits about our country's pathetic gun laws.
-
Those dimensions look pretty spot on.
It's funny y'know. I was using that pic as a guide whilst building my V3 pack, in the loungeroom, about 6 weeks ago when "Obsession" was aired. If I hadn't been working on that pack there's no way I would have recognised the radio.

Yeah. already working on the drawings right now. Trying to find somethingn to get a proper scale from.
So who is the blame for this expensive Christmas?! LOL. TK-J?
Expensive??????
Christmas??????
Who me??????
I thought I might finally get some kip after finding it. Noooooo.
Glad to finally put something back into this hobby, and not just make up the numbers.
As for scale, we should be able to use the cistern or tupperware lid as a frame of reference, providing we can get good screen grabs giving plenty of definition.

I had no idea this was such a big issue, or I would have mentioned it earlier
Anyway, I found a prop list fom the original Avengers from the late '60s, but nothing on the New Avengers. Maybe someone in the UKG could contact the BBC prop dept. and ask if it would be listed in their archives.
Found this as well.

Wha!? Wow, what a lead! Thanks TK-J! I'm off to look myself now. Do you know the episode number of "Obsession"?
Series 2, episode 6. HERE.. Going to have to try and buy the DVD now.

Jason
Any chance you can get a screen grab of it, it could help in tracking it down
and maybe a few more of Diana Rigg in a leather cat suit would help as well Hubba-Hubba
Sorry, just notice you said '77, that would be Dame Joanna in a designer boiler suit
I just had a look on youtube, but the 6 minute clip starts about 2 minutes after the actual scene. I saw the show about 4 weeks ago on TV and nearly crapped myself when I saw it

These are certainly real radios. I saw one on the 1977 British TV series "The New Avengers", season 2 episode "Obsession". The bad guy was listening to it as he was about to launch a missile into the heart of London to kill a foriegn diplomat.

I have the gamaschen sorted Doug....

I don't suppose someone in the US might help me aquire some of these knee cap pads. They don't seem to be a common item here in Oz
-
A couple of us here in TAG are looking to set our TD up in a similar way, just for fun and cons. To me it seems a fairly reasonable interpretation of battle hardened/seasoned a trooper.
-
Sorry if this has been brought up before, but my search found nothing. Can anyone tell me what the trooper in the trailer has on his left shoulder bell?
Watch trailer here if you've not seen it.
Cheers
J

It's an old CB radio - it still works, I have it connected to a 12v battery pack inside the backplate - but since hardly anyone uses those frequencies anymore, I don't get much chatter.
