A few weeks ago a group of us were asked to appear at our local hockey team game for STAR WARS night. It's is something the town loves and it has become something that they want us to do every year. This year we decided to honor a special guest. I have a friend that I have known for a very long time. She has a son that has battled many illnesses and has been hospitalized for more of his life than he has got to play. This child has been on his death bed far more times than most people should ever have to experience. The child is a huge Star Wars fan and has seen pics of us before and his wish was one day to meet Darth Vader. So i took it upon myself to build him a Stormtrooper helmet because he has seen mine and the kid stared at it for hours. We got together and had Darth Vader present him the helmet. The kid never took it off the whole night. Today I received a picture from his mother. They set up Christmas decorations early very year because winter time is very bad on his heath so they always want to make sure he is a part of the holiday spirit. This is the pic they sent Just wanted to share this with everyone. The family has gone through many battles and there are many more to come. Right now he seems to be doing well. Things like this is why I love this club.

Awesome will do tomorrow. Now the ext part. I removed the latex guards from the gloves to make them on the opposite hand, I can't get the latex guards to stick to the rubber gloves. What kind of glue should I use?

its supposed to be the back of the male snap which it is and yes at the corner. It was at the corner until I added shims to extend the sides. Not sure if I can move it without creating a huge hole. Not sure how I would fix it. Anyone have any suggestions?

OK, so I fixed the seems on both sides of the armor and posted pics but I just could not stop staring at how it looked. I kept thinking to myself that that is not SWAT quality. I even think I lost sleep last night because the look kept bothering me. This is what it looked like yesterday. This is the side with 6 rivets This is what it looks like now. I like it much better. It seems to be a much more even pattern This is the other side yesterday This is the same side today Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Well if I ever get the swat status then I will have more time to spend on the pouches, t-21s, and boots I am trying to get going for the group. It never ends. I still have all the stuff to start making e11s. There is not enough time in the day lol.

Thanks Rolf. That's my goal. I want to be able to have a place where troopers can go and get the little details they need to get deployed and grow the ranks. Next week I will have a sample of the boots I am going to do.

You got it. I will create a for sale section next week when i have the pouches finished with the right leather. For now this is perfect. Post here which pouch you want and I will add it to the list. Construction will start Monday and I will keep you up to date. I plan on making several of each to have on hand so people do not wait long. I made 5 new samples. I made all three Spanish pouches a Roadblock pouch and the shoulder pouch. These are made with a thin leather just to show a sample. I need to make sure my patterns are right before I use the real leather these will be made of. Take a look at the pics and please give me all the input you can so I can make great SWAT approved pouches. The real pouches will be made with 1/8 inch leather or 3mm its the same. The real vintage pouches are made of this thickness. I just made thin samples to make sure the pattern is fine.
