A little info on the sabers...
The way the sabers will be handled is that we will build them to accept the components of a disassembled Vader Force FX lightsaber. postmortem01 and I will post a tutorial of how to disassemble and install the components into the hilt we provide with the Acolyte helmet. Should be pretty painless.

Here is the helmet we are replicating
We will be offering these with a reference photo collection and paint guide.
UPDATE NOV 23 2012
The Run is a go.
We are going to do this in 2 waves. The first wave will be US only. The second will include overseas orders.
The reason for this is because Christmas is coming very soon and shipping around the Holiday is a nightmare. So, to avoid that and make things easier on our lives, we are not shipping outside of the US until January.
After much consideration and experimentation, we have decided on materials:
The kit will include a resin faceplate and back. This is the most cost-effective means for supplying the largest amount of customers as possible without making the cost unreasonable. Cold Cast doesn't offer enough of a difference in appearance to justify an increased cost.
Here is the painted faceplate:
as you can see, impressive results can be had with rattle cans and a little bit of work. (we will also offer painting services at additional cost)
ok, here's the big question... COST
$265 shipped US
Unpainted, untrimmed resin faceplate and Vac-formed helmet back
Paint and trimming will be an additional $150
PM me for payment info.
Paypal is preferred
We will ship all of them at once.If payment is not in, then you will have to wait until wave 2.

The paint was done by several of us, and you can see the slight variations in style between the helmets.
We need a few more people to get this run going.
If the cost is an issue, the price is a rough estimate and is not set in stone.
-
The first prototype for the right earpiece.
The master itself was reworked to include sharper details and better symmetry as well.
-
Here's the master with a fresh coat of polyester primer.
Please remember to post up here and state clearly that you are interested (if you are interested).
I'm running this on several forums and some people are PMing me.

Hey guys,
It's been a long time coming , but we are finally doing a run of our Imperial commandos helmets.
a little background...
This project began many years ago as a Fan Film (2005?). The name was chosen back then, way before Karen Traviss wrote her book with the same title and vastly different characters. We are not saying that we were copied by her in any way, we just have the same name.
As far as the Stormtrooper Commander and Incinerator trooper figures go, I'll let you decide for yourselves where they got the "inspiration " from
This is what the whole costume looks like from SDCC 2006 or 2007
We wanted a helmet that bridged the gap between EP3 and EP4 helmets, so this is what we came up with:
These are NOT CANON,NOR ARE THEY 501ST APPROVED.
We are looking at about $225 each for the unfinished helmet kit
The helmets will be rotocast in resin with a resin earpiece for the right ear. They will not have lenses ,nor will they be painted. The right ear shown above is not the final ear, I'll post pics of that in a few days.
Please reply in this thread if you are interested.

Wow, it's been almost a year since i posted.
Hailey is now 1 year and 4 months old.
-
You can use an Echo leaf blower rubber tube (even on the HyperFirm)
it's a PITA to get over the barrel, but looks great.
Blastmaster did his and I have the parts but haven't done it yet. I still have the corrugated tubing on mine
apparently, you really have to boil the bellows to get it to stretch.
here's my parts:
-
I did the number 4 pack for my own Sandtrooper (now sold) before the Sonix was discovered
I just had to be a little different than everybody else
-
Sorry Mike,
I have been busy.
You are now approved and ready for deployment.
-
Six months old now.
she is starting to crawl now, so I gotta keep the Star Wars Room door closed.
come on hair, let's get to growing
-
Very proud.
Hailey got to meet the Easter Bunny for the first time too
-
Hailey is 5 months old today.
Blue eyes still sparkling
and very happy!
-
Ugh.
I have a leaking sprinkler pipe somewhere in the yard, so i gotta dig it up.
Still haven't found the leak yet.
Not happy.
-
It does snow at my house too.
Here's this years blizzard.
-
What's all that white stuff on the ground? Soap Suds?
Here's my yard this morning.
I gotta get out there and trim the hedges, cut the grass, and do some edging.
-
I'll have to talk to the GGG GML.
Those costumes is horrible.
The TK is an FX straight out of the box
The Tusken is obviously not a recent pic.
-
-
I'm almost 43 and it's hard for me to come up with a thousand bucks too.
kudos to you for sticking it out.
-
Michael,
I did approve you, but I need you to get your handbacks dirty.
-
4 months old now.
-
I changed my Avatar
Some people didn't understand why I was hassling the SCG GML on this thread.
-
I'll be the first to armor up for it!Do you need us to armor up and go see your GML???? lol
-
Lets wait for Juan to give his input and also for your GML to approve you first.
Hurry your GML along so we can get you a locker with the other officers bro!
Good stuff man! Once you get over that GML roadblock you should be good to go!
Stupid GML. What's he know anyway? <_<
Lazy, good for nothing GML ...
INTEREST: Sith Acolyte Helmet and Saber from SWTOR
in Closed Project Runs
Posted
We're nearing completion on the modeling. There are a couple collisions we are working on and then this will go through the 3D printer.
We had originally thought about CNCing these, but the level of detail in the facemask necessitated having them grown.
We think that we'll have enough interest locally alone along with all the other inquiries from the other boards. We will continue on with the rest of the armor if response is enough. For the time being, we are making the complete helmet. Not inaccurate partial helmets that are offered currently. The helmet will come with a resin casting of the saber hilt in halves and a tutorial about how to disassemble and insert the working guts of a Force FX Vader saber into it.
We will then move on to the gauntlets, gloves and elbow armor. We will not commit to armor beyond that because it will be determined by interest in the costume at that time. Helmet time frame is to be available pre-Christmas. This includes the hilt.
We intend on producing a resin front face mask for the Sith Acolyte that will be accompanied by a firm rubber backed rear helmet. Most, I assume, will not utilize the rear helmet as it will be covered and be very hot to wear. The elbow, gaunt and glove armor will be cast in firm rubber as well. This will help with weight, durability and comfort.
The rest of the armor for this character is TBD. We have already posted on other 501st forums to build interest in the project. We are proceeding with this project. The balance of the armor parts will be determined by how well the initial run progresses.
