  1. My membership has been revoked

whether i agree with the way this has been handled is now irrelevant, and quite frankly, its a great weight off my shoulders and im not interested in the ins and outs of it.

I am posting in this forum ONLY...

The MEPD means more to me than anyone can really know and because of that, this is the only forum I WILL miss being a part of,,,omg here come the tears.

I wish i could stay here and not have to go to the others..i never had any trouble here and this has been the best part of the 501st experience for me,,the MEPD

With a heavy heart and tears in my eyes, i would like to wish you and our fellow mepd members the best for the future,,,i just wish i could be a part of it...i will miss you all..even tho we never met

this will be my final post as a member of the greatest detachment in this galaxy

  2. i would suggest....leave them really dirty, boots especially working boots are always the most worn and filthiest part..

so many weather their suits upside down, i mean the dirt tappers off to nothing by the time they get to their knees, your shins and boots would be the dirtiest if they were used as a real world item

  3. ya cant really set any standard with publicity pictures

canon is whats seen in the film..not whats in a publicity shot...otherwise we may as well set our standards by 'something my friend thinks he saw and told me about and now its canon'

The pic is black and white..in a studio..with bright lights above..AND the most visible white pauldron only has ONE seam visible..wheres the second?? because there IS a 2nd

in all fairness the bottom pic does not show a seam or no seam, and to speculate that it has no seam, coz ya cant see it, is pure conjecture, not an absolute

  4. there are 2 of each colour

    2x orange

    2x white

    2x black

only problem is there isnt a clear shot of all 6 in any one shot, only one pic ive seen is a behind the scenes shot taken either before or after the outside shot where the Aluminum Falcon takes off, do you get to see all 6 of em, even inside DB94 with the shootout with Hand Solo (not a typo :P ) all 6 arent in one shot together.. The DB94 Int shot is back in England, so the pauldrons have probably gone amiss between location and studio

besides continuity was never a big priority in the 70s

I would say they were manufactured with different colours so you could choose, after all theyre a chest protector for bmx/motocross. god knows how and why they have different colours, personally i detest seeing TKs wearing them and especially those hideous bi-cloured ones...red/black..white/black and blue/black

  5. ok wasnt sure as alot of folk think an emu and an ostrich are the same thing...kinda like, i hate to say it, most americans think austria and australia are the same place, But a farm is more likely to have the permits to import them and yes, theyre harvested here for the same reasons...Kangaroos too, but just the meat

Emus Im unsure of their numbers, but coastal emus are dissapearing fast, whereas continental Emus are nomadic and hard to count

and before anyone says anything about eating the two animals on our coat of arms, unlike your Bald Eagle, which is like trying to find a needle in a haystack...

Kangaroos, well there are just under 28,000,000 of them in 2010 compared to..wait for it..58,000,000 in 2001

...and there are only 22,000,000 of us

oh n to keep this off topic, on topic, my jackets yet to arrive...but tis only a week :D

  6. I had a pair of emus a long time ago and they hatched one baby from the 7 or so eggs they laid...my oldest and youngest at the time was 6 and 2 and both were so happy to have him around...unfortunatly as the emu grew his legs began to grow crooked and he had to be put down. :( Teh birds names were Brisbane for the male and Victoria for the female. We had to move later on so we couldn't keep them any longer...we were sad to see them go.

    Diana (ShortTrooper)

    wow emus...really??

sure they werent Ostriches as Emus are protected here because theyre a "Native Species" under provisions of the Wildlife Conservation Act 1950 and anyone needs a licence just to kill one even if its injured

  7. These are all clear indications that these pieces are as real as it gets.

dunno what this guy is on...but..as we all wear recreated armour, how easy would it be for someone to pass it off as the real deal.

besides if someone bought old SW armour for $233,000 it would have made the news in the south pole, let alone the rest of the planet

if it is real,,,thats great,,,but cmon, its plastic and its 33 yrs old,and my old AP is extremely brittle and its only4 1/2 yrs old... im more than a lil dubious that not one person has ever known about this...sounds atad dodgy to me

how many of us use screen grabs to get our armour spot on???
