  1. next up for the han hero neckseal. Cut the canvas into a rectangle of 115mm by 420mm, then fold the length in half, at the fold measure 70mm from the bottom and taper a cut to both out side edges from the fold out giving you an elongated V as in the picture in the link. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u127 ... canvas.jpg
  2. Hi all, First up here's a link to the list of inventory that you will need. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u127 ... llneed.jpg Now due to being on dial up there will be the odd pic on the thread if it's small detail, but in order to do justise to the topic I've gone for big pics displaying before, during and completion of most of the neckseal. If anyone finds it undersimplyfied or overcomplicated please let me know, constructive critism is always welcome. Inventory: (1) 5 meters of foam/rubber, cord/rope, 3 or 4 mm in diameter depending on how long your neck is. (2) black canvas 115mm by 420mm. (3) black leather (thinner is better) 220mm by 420mm (4) black (one way strech) polar fleece 140mm by 450mm (5) black silk 430mm by 1000mm (6) black self adhesive velcro 25mm by 100mm (7) contact adhesive (bostick) (8) Glovers needle, lether thread, sizzors, pen, credit card & one free afternoon.
  3. Thanks for the welcome comments guys , I hope to post either pic's or a vid file for the tutorial by the weekend of all component parts & the main three step by step assembly processes. As for difficulty in assembly it's really pretty easy all in all. I've made a few of these so far & have learnt through trial & error the simplest way to construct it in the shortest time possible! the hard part is walking to the shops to source the parts. I will do what I can to suggest parts that are freely available globaly. cheers steve
  4. Hi all, Here's my version of the Luke hero neckseal, if anyone is interested in a tutorial just ask. it takes about an afternoon to make in total. It's made of polar fleece, leather & parachute silk so it's relativly breathable & looks close to acurate IMOP. cheers steve
  5. I have one small request from any of the many experts here on blasters. I have searched for the answer without success which brings me to this request. Please does anybody know how to easily & without adding too much damage "remove the butt end (cap) from an MR E-11?" I've owned the blaster for a very short time, from new & now the retaining screw hole that holds down the scope mount has striped it's thread. I have Recently searched & Posted Forums elsewhere but still don't have the answer . any help from the MEPD guys would be greatly appreciated.
  6. If it's any help? on the sds armour, the first thing I needed to change was swaping the sniper plate over onto the other calf piece & then added a little foam to the inside leg. Now I've got complete circulation running through both my legs again & my kneecaps are free from pain. I just have to remember that the red dot means left leg now. I'll be interested to know what solution you find works the best looking at the docking bay some troopers have calf problems too http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u127 ... p_troo.png
  7. That looks realy good it's realy surprising how much the camera can add or detract depending on the set up. Just a quick question from a novice "how many layers are on the lid so far?", just looking for tip's for when I start mine.

  9. Hi Mr BoJangles, please forgive this stupid question but I'm still learning the ropes. Are these the actual boot's used in the film & if so where do they retail them, if they still do? cos I have been, perhaps nievishly trying to track down these as a good compromise. http://www.loake.co.uk/our_shoes/produc ... 12. Thanks for sharing the pic's The TM Amour looks great, just some minor tweek's needed for fitting The bucket look's awesome, much better finish with a paint job than my A & B type helmets from sds. Do you have the mic tips!! or will you be contacting Keith over at therpf? Good look in going Sandy & hope you will do a progress thread for any newbies out there IE ME
  13. As an alternative to CA & from the searching I have done these appear close to accurate to the film. Made of leather, High ancle & that all important Hard sole, they just need moding white. If there's a retailer by you that sell's them good luck. www.loake.co.uk Pictured above are Loake's Chealsea boot's, a UK brand but is sold internationally if you can find them!!!. unfortunatly I could not sorce any on this side of the planet so made do with Timberland & some paint, but at least threir comfy. 14. Now I'm only very new to all this, so please take that into account All. That said, there is a TE over at therpf thats just had a price drop, as an option! no other English brands have been mentioned which is good, because if you have a farm, you would have to sell it My money however is on TM all the way If your having any difficulty in choosing, Try Using the force & lastly does your wife have a sister thats single & similar in nature?
