  3. Some members and one new recruit of the MEPD, teamed up with some of the FLGarrison, as Makaze, and Tampa Squads made a nice showing today, to an event held yearly at MOSI- Mueseum of Science and Industry here in Tampa. The event was called Walk now for Autism Awareness. The Tampa Dirty Boys represented the MEPD well! I'm on the far right. I think it would've been an AWESOME pic if I wasn't looking down at the time the pic was snapped! ARRGH! One of our own and a new recruit here. There's another event scheduled for tomorrow at a Children's Cancer center... I'm going to see if I can't make that one too! Troop on!
  4. You should save it as your background. Make the color black and pop that image on it.... Wow!
  5. Russian planes again fly over U.S. Navy *Two Russian planes flew within 500 feet of U.S. Navy aircraft carrier *That flyover is lower than others Russians have made over U.S. ships this year *U.S. aircraft tried contacting Russian planes, but pilots didn't respond *U.S. fighter jets met up with Russian planes, flew with them until they left WASHINGTON -- Russian military aircraft flew just 500 feetover two U.S. Navy ships this week as the ships participated in a joint military exercise with South Korea in the Sea of Japan, according to U.S. military officials. Two Russian Ilyushin IL-38 maritime patrol aircraft (image below) flew only 500 feet above a U.S. aircraft carrier. On Monday, two Russian Ilyushin IL-38 maritime patrol aircraft, known as "Mays," overflew the U.S. aircraft carrier Stennis while it was in international waters in the Sea of Japan. The Russian aircraft flew about 500 feet over the ship, lower than other flights the Russians have made over U.S. ships in the past year. The USS Stennis was about 80 miles east of Pohang, South Korea, participating in the joint military exercise when the flyover occurred. On Tuesday, the USS Blue Ridge, a lead command and control ship, and the Stennis were overflown by two Russian "Bear" long-range bombers multiple times, according to U.S. military officials. The Bears overflew the ships at about 2,000 feet, officials said. U.S. military officials said that in both cases, U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighters (image below) met up with the Russian aircraft about 70 nautical miles from the U.S. ships and flew alongside them until they left the area. On both days, U.S. aircraft tried contacting the Russian planes on international air frequency radio channels, but the Russian pilots did not respond, officials said. The last time Russian planes flew over a U.S. Navy ship was February 2008, when two Bears flew 2,000 feet over the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz south of Japan. Russian long-range flights skirting U.S. or other nations' boundaries have also been common over the last year. Although the Pentagon does not often talk about the overflights, there is nothing illegal about the actions, and they are generally seen by the United States as nothing more than muscle-flexing by the Russian military. ======================================================================= You know, one day those Russian f***s are going to do something STUPID, and they're going to get a missile up their a****s, and Putin and the rest of the re-born KGB s***heads are going to push that red button....
  6. You know, what a cool thread to start! So, without further ado..... I'm a Corporate Training Manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. My job just got more involved, since we've bought out Alamo and National Rent-A-Car. I've been with the company since graduating from my college alma mater -USF (University of South Florida) GO BULLS!!! Ahem. Sorry about that.... I train all of West-Central Florida, and the areas in which I train on, range from Accounting, to Daily Rental, to Remarketing to well pretty much anything that needs to be addressed from employee development to retention to profitability etc. Yeah, I've got my hand in every cookie jar....
  7. Let me know what you find out. I'd take a couple for sure!
  8. Nice JOB on that Rex helmet man.... Can I ship my Hasbro one over to you for some of that art work? Amazing detail!!!
  9. Love the cleanies looking at your armor in the first pic! Classic!
  10. Both are great costumes! At least the Superman is naturally "built" to make the costume look real. Seriously, how many of you have seen flabby or skinny "Supermen".? That is one of the best Darth Revan's I've seen in a while.... Nice job!
  11. Cooooooooooooooooooooool................................
  12. AWESOME! I have one of those Stormtroopers and was thinking of doing the same! I don't know where to find the pauldron, pack, ammo pouches etc..... But nice work none the less!!!
  13. Yeah, I made sure to hold on to that railing! But if I fell, more battle damage!
  14. Funny that you said that! Connor and his older brother were in clone gear. They both LOVED CMDR Bly, played by out very own Hippie Trooper here in the MEPD. Since I was going Sandy, and his mother said that they both are really into the new Clone Wars, Hippie wanted to go as Bly. Anyways, the other kids had light sabers, and E11's. I was in the playhouse and interacting with the kids. I'm waiting on the photos, of me sliding down the slide, and the kids at the bottom waiting for me! I tell you what, it was the girls that loved talking to me. They were telling me, that they were a "good witch", and not a "bad one". I had a couple of "Disney Princesses" ask if I was a "Good guy". I said, "Yes" of course! All in in, a good troop, for a great kid, that has really gone through a lot in his short life....
  15. At the end of the show, CMDR Rex, told his "shiny's" that they are no longer rookies, because of their efforts to fight off an invasion. He said that he would be proud to have them.... Wait for it..... In the 501st! Too cool! Thank you Lucas Arts! Woo Hoo!
  16. That's TOTALLY SICK!!!! Awesome job.... Before I saw Rache's pumpkin, I thought I was decent.... If you'll excuse me, I'll go back to my crayons........
  17. Thanks for the Kudos gang! I'll post more photos soon! Troop on!
  18. Troops- We had a request to do a birthday party for a young lad who wasn't even expected to make it to his first birthday. Connor is a tough kid, that has been beating odds all throoughout his young years. When the Tampa Squad was aked to do this birthday, we were all too happy. As you can see I was the only Sandy there, as we had 2 cleanies.... I know.... I know..... One Clone CDR Bly, Boba, and a Officer. Enjoy and TROOP ON!!! The Birthday boy!!!
  19. That's why it's so imprortant to go out and vote this year! I'm waiting until Americans in general will say, "enough is enough", march onto capital hill and throw those self-rightous idiots on their *****. Some might laugh at that remark, but I think it may come to fruition sooner than people think.... I'm tired of these politicians trying to extend their terms, and taking care of their own backs, instead of watching those Americans the seat that they're currently in.
