(1) The starting point of the backpack is the frame, I made mine following this tutorial by Marcus Simon: http://www.thedirtytrooper.com/My_Field_Pack.htm (2) Once the frame is done, take the carpet grips, and cut 4 x 15" lengths, these will be for supporting your main boxes! (Keep any off cuts). Once cut attach them to the frame using 3mm 1,1/2" bolts, now prime and spray the frame matt black. (3) Now the carpet grips are on, we can attach the backpack straps. For this you will need the 1" webbing, use two, 2 foot lengths of webbing and attach them to the top grip, do this by folding the webbing over the grip by 3" ,and then rivet together (2 x 3mm short head rivets and 4 x washers) ,do this for both the top straps! For the bottom straps you will need two, 1 foot lengths of webbing, and attach them to the bottom grip the same way, once you have done this slide them to the middle of the carpet grip and leave them there for now. (4) Now its time to prep the boxes (litter trays). Attaching the first two base boxes. Firstly take the blue box (which is the one going on the bottom)and place it on top of the carpet grips, making sure that the box sits nicely on to the bottom shelf of the backpack. Now carfully with a 3mm drill bit, drill 4 holes, two at the top of the box and two at the bottom. When drilling these holes, make sure the drill bit goes through the box and through the carpet grip, leaving you with perfectly lined up holes! Now do the same for the top box ( which is the black one ) making sure that it is equal on both sides and not too high or too low! Once all the holes are drilled out take 4 x 10" carpet grips(some of the off cuts may be suitable), you need 2 for the top box and 2 for the bottom box. On these 4 peices you will need to drill holes that corecpond to the holes you have drilled on your boxes, once this is done you should be able to place your bottom box on the carpet grip then place the 10" piece inside the box and all the holes should match up perfectly. Now you need 8 x 3mm long head rivets and 8 x 3mm washers (one for each hole). Place the rivet through the hole in the 10" grip, through the box and then through the grip attached to the frame, place the washer over the rivet head and rivet in place. Repeat this for the remaining holes. Put the frame to one side. (5) Now to prepare the attachments for the top section of the bottom box. (Right click and save the picture, so that you can scroll up the instructions) (6) Top Box (7) When all attachments have been put on the boxes, they can then be riveted to the boxes already attached to the frame, by a rivet in each corner. (8 ) Bicycle pump
