If we use it for the back and use that 10th anniversary shield for the front pocket it would be cool.

[IPS Weld on]

You don't have to get the weld-on brand. Most good hobby shops will have either "prowled" or "Plastic weld." Those are 2 different brands but are both the same thing. I built my whole suit using prowled.

the 1/2 pint glue that came with FX armor "IPS weld on ABS 2771" mine has dried out. I need a pint can with out buying a case of 24. Lowes does not carry it and what they sold me to use well.... I'd be better off using rubber bands, any suggestions on where to pick up a can?

Is there better way to apply it?

Nope, Thats the way. I use small spring clamps and painters tape to hold the strips firm against

the armor.

Use the brush that comes with the proweld and apply it along the sem where the strip meets the armor.

If its not holding either the strip is not making contact with the armor or you not putting enough on.

Let it stand for about 15 minutes to be sure.

[Additional backpack support]

In an effort to lighten the load on my shoulders I added straps that connect to a work belt that I

got at Lowes. The belt is heavy duty and came with 2 loops on either side to attack my new straps.

This set up takes almost all of the weight off my shoulders.
