  1. Indeed. Just finished gluing the mesh down inside the mouth. Finally a screen meshed painted frown! I'll get some pics soon. It's late now and I'm getting up early to do the marching thing with my garrison for our Legion XO, if you know what I mean.
  2. Back again from the dead. Been so busy with work and what not. Today, I've actually begun modding. I'm now cutting holes in the mouth ready to paint and add mesh underneath. Woohoo! I've also had a pack for almost a year and I'll finally be working on it as well. Looking forward to someday owning a big gun!
  3. Well, I'm interested but it's gonna take me some time to put the money together. Will you be making these indefinitely?
  4. How many paychecks do I gotta save up? I would really love one of these to become MEPD. I think that, sniper knee and green lenses are all that I physically lack. Please shoot me a PM when you have a spare moment. Thank you sir.
  5. Where do I find your gallery? This mod is on my to do list. I also want to mod my ab/cod plate so I can bend over and sit down. Gotta be able to jump up on the ol' Dewback. Help?
  6. Mine is just stuffed with that batting material from my wife's sewing room. It's like cotton and used for stuffing things like pillows.
  7. 6'0" here. I still feel like my armor is big in some places like my ab plate. I gotta figure a good way to trim it so I can bend over and also sit down. I'm going to trim the back/but plate in two sections...
  8. Okay, I'm back again. Dang life gets in the way. There's quite a thread on the Legion forums eh? Well, I'm still working on becoming MEPD but still need to work on mods. Did anybody miss me? Yeah I know, your aim is improving!
  9. I'm of the same opinion. Palpatine wanted someone very strong who could take care of things in the Empire. Vader was the perfect juggernaut who could take care of business. Read the new Insider magazine. Ian McDiarmid touches on this in an interview. The Falcon lands on Coruscant just after Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Palpatine crash land and are on their way to meet Bail Organa and other Senators. Look for it on the bottom right of the screen where ships land and take off. There are multi-level landing platforms.
  10. Heck yeah! Come on! Let's give George some credit. Spoiler discussion: I saw it again for the second time, and it actually gripped me more. The first time, I was tired, it felt surreal, almost like a dream. Today it all sunk in. I liked it. Yes it was dark but that's the way the story goes. You can't escape the continuity. My wife found the Millenium Falcon in the battle scene in the beginning. I did spot George Lucas, and his kids. I also spotted Jeremy Bulloch, Jay Lagaya, and Bodie Taylor...even if he was cgi'd. The acting was good, in my opinion, the dialogue seamless. George did a good job of his old serial movie style. Some parts were a bit cheesy, but that's okay. Man, my heart broke when that little youngling appealed to Anakin for help only to find the tip of his lightsaber, which I'm glad we didn't have to see. George picked the perfect little tyke to portray that innocence. That padawan that slayed some clones before falling prey to their blaster fire in front of Bail was George's son and his choreography was impressive. This movie rocked and it was the best and most well rounded of all six in my mind, albeit dark and sad. When I saw it the first time, I felt kind of sick about the 501st and the slaughter of innocent children, but watching it the second time, I realized it's just part of the movie and nothing more. The preview depicting Obi-Wan telling Anakin he was the chosen one seemed cheesy, but when you hear the dialogue throughout the entire scene made sense. I felt really badly for Obi-Wan and applaud his steadfastness in his convictions. He felt that he failed Anakin, but he had a tremendous task to begin with. Obi-Wan is awesome. Padme should have had plenty of reason to live and I felt that her death should have been rewritten so that Anakin had indeed inadvertantly killed her as Palpatine had suggested. But alas, dying of a broken heart was her fate. Only one thing really bugged me and it's frivolous. While Obi-Wan and Anakin were dueling on that small platform floating across the lava, they should have by all reasoning, caught fire, and burned. That's just too close to the lava. If Anakin can catch fire on the black sandy shore just above the lava flow, then they should have both caught fire while dueling in the intense heat of the flowing torrent. Everything else was cool. Lot's of cool costuming potential from this movie. Two thumbs up. I'll watch it again and again, though with renewed interest in watching the OT from a fresh perspective.
  11. The FX helmet isn't too bad, better than I could ever do, but the flat head bugs me, as do the big cheeks. Still it's much better than a paper plate with eye holes cut out and a rubber band to go around my head.
  12. Thanks guys! It'll be a while, but hopefully I can join your ranks and make you proud. Does anyone have the TE helmet on an FX set or armor? Does this sound preposterous?
  13. Cool. It'll take me a while, but I'd like to get as close as I can to be dirty all the way, the whole nine yards, the whole ball of wax. TK-2581...no worries, bud. I wasn't in the least bit offended or worried. I'm easygoing. Anyway, I'm just getting the hang of this, though my armor has been dirty for a long time. I'll ditch the thermal detonator Get a backpack Green lenses BFG...I want that big bazooka...or whichever is cheapest, lol diamond knee ab plate what else... Guess that's it. I'm a TDH forums veteran, so I just spent around $1,200 and 14 months on finishing my Jango so I'm not sure if I oughta push my luck financially. My wife would finish me if my pocket book doesn't. I know this has nothing to do with Sandtrooping, but looking at my Jango, you'll see I spared no expense: Okay, enough Jango. Now that it's outta my system, if my wife doesn't object I'll start saving up and modifying my TK further. I'd like to get official here. I'll post pics soon of what it looks like now. It's bed time and I'm outta here. :td:
  14. That's understandable. Well, I've got my work cut out for me. I'm the garden variety. How many here have the FX and how many have the ANH/TE armor? I'm not sure if I got that right. I hope I dont' have to switch armor to do this.
  15. Alrighty thanks. I guess it will be a while, having just finished my movie accurate Jango Fett and coming back from CIII. My pocket book needs lots of recovery.
  16. Wow. Well, when will it be official as to what will be required. I guess I have more work cut out for me than anticipated. I'm close to meeting Legion requirements, but I guess I gotta do my homework. It's about the journey as much as the destination. Right?
  17. That's cool. You guys that can sit down and go up stairs easily, are your legs thin? I mean, I'm a construction guy and my legs are rather muscular from all the years of work. I haven't shimmed my thigh armor because they fit fine....except if I want to sit or something. Anyone have this trouble? I'm not big and buff, but some pieces fit tighter than others.
  18. I've been on a bit of a hiatus but I'm looking at being a part of the gang again as I was previously briefly. Most of you probably don't even remember me. Anyway, I have been a TK for the longest time and am repainting my armor to look a little better. I have the FX armor, though I wish it was TE. Oh well. Anyway, I've been scouring the other posts in search of what will qualify for TD status on the legion. Right now aside from a dirty set of armor, an orange shoulder pauldron and shoulder pouches. Am I set for a TD application with the Legion. Hoping to catch up with old friends and make more new ones. I'll share some pics asap. Peace!
  19. Though I am TK-4246 on the Legion roster, assigned to the Alpine Garrison for about a year now, I have become much more seasoned, or shall we say...dirty! I have yet to acquire some leather pouches, a backpack and a rifle blaster to be on my way to becoming TD-4246. I'll have to get some pics to share. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here and at the CIII. I really enjoyed reading the hospital visit on the homepage. It's very heartwarming and it's these types of visits that make it all worthwhile. May I post a copy of this article on my garrison website for inpirational purposes?
