If you use the spray dye it works well. That is what I used on mine. I have a pic posted of armor with them on. I found the dye at a fabric store. Katt

Ok some input please. My boyfriend and I where talking the other day, we got to thinking. It has been said that the "black hole" unit if you will, had all at their disposal. Meaning it would be possible to have a black hole TD, correct? After all MEPD just said your armor had to be dirty, but not white!!LOL Funny stuff aside do you think that would be a possibility? Yea I told my son under the helmet no one can tell how old you are!!So heck as long as I can put it on I'll be doing it!!! Guns you don't look 48!!!!! I'm 40 amd mother of two so anyone any age can do it!!!!!!

Thanks guys! And LOL on the handbacks. I still will pick up a set. They are a little smaller and that's a good thing because I have small hands. I did trim the thigh pieces like Guns suggest and it looks better. But I swear if I hear one more time "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?" I'm going to wack someone with my prod!!! I heard that so much this Saturday at our trooping event!! (Oh and td3269 you aren't part of that threat. your a fellow officer so you can get away with that ) I swear I'll get white high heel boots! Oh and that darn pack! My son couldn't get a clue that being behind me is dangerous! I don't know how many times I wacked him with it as well as doors!! He was in his Fett stuff so he couldn't see all that well either, made him a good target.

It's a DP classic action. Thanks to Abntroop setting me up with it (thank you!!) It is much better then the FX. I think I need to add more dirt to the legs, the chest I added more to match the helmet, but you cannot see it due to the binocs. Those silly canvas pouches took that spray dye well but I noticed after wearing them for a bit it seemed to have rubbed off a little, but hey it gives it the weathered look. I got in on the leather pouch run, so when those come in I'll be set. Now to get the TD hand backs and a new decal set to make the helmet into ANH style (mainly blue vent tube stickers) then it should be done. (fingers crossed)

Well I may need to trim them, the thigh pieces that is, but they had slipped down a bit. I think I have fix that now, but I just might take a little off of the bottom front any how. The ab plate turned out great, just can't see it because of all of my junk. pouchs are just dyed canvas ones that I got off of ebay. I am getting leather ones in the near future. And yes that is a backpack. Got it earlier this year when the boyfriend was going to do the TD instead of me. It needs work, the guy painted with some kind of rotten paint and it chips so easy. But it does have storage space so there is an advantage to it. Thanks for the tips! I'll be trimming this armor I fear for a long time to come. Katt

Well here it is all done TD ver.2 and yes I know it isn't as dirty it some you you think it should be Does it look okay and is there anything I should change or fix??BTW it is dirtier then it looks, for some reason the pic made it look clean.

these pouches are for the sides instead of drop boxes. I have a different kind of pouch for the pauldron, and no I have no idea what it is. 30 carbine clips fit into it. Oh and I cut out a small spot on the little extra side pouch that is on one of the two mp40's pouches, put black screen on it and that's where my amp fit perfectly. Thanks guys!! Getting around to finally putting my mp40 pouches on my kit and I was wondering. Do I stick them on the belt or attach them to the straps that hold up the thigh pieces? Thanks Katt

At the suggestion of one of my squad mates I trimmed a good 1/2 off the bottom of the chest plate. And getting the smaller DP helmet helped a lot too. I was going sell of the TD stuff, but I had a LOT of problems getting my other costume accepted by 501st so I sold it and stuck to modifing my TD stuff. I'll post pics when it all looks good. This week I am up to my neck in Star Wars costumes. Have to finish my BF's Tie kit, my son's mini Fett and the last few things on my TD!! Thanks Guns!!!! Katt

OK. You are all going to think I'm whacked, but I can't help but find this funny and weird at the same time. When I was a kid growing up, my father build dunebuggies for a hobby. And I'm not talking one here and there. I am talking 42 total, he is only 56!! Every Memorial, 4th of July, and Labor day we went to the dunes!!We lived in Montana, so we went Saint Antony, Idaho where outside of town there is the biggest coolest set of dunes you have ever seen!!! Then of course we moved to Oregon where the dunes were an hour away. He even has had and still has license plates that say "Dunes". The whole point it I find it funny and ironic that here I am now as a Sand trooper!!Does that mean I had in my blood all along? You know how sand can get into everything when you're out in it for a while!!! Just want to share that strange fact of my life. You can wake up now!

My pack has storage spaces so I plan to carry water with me. Though the camelpak idea is a good one. I was planning on getting a bottle with a straw. Learned that my first time out with my Fett stuff. Katt
