Great work and sharp details Greedo. Looking forward to see more pics of.
BTW you've got a PM.

A couple more pieces!
RIGHT INNER THIGH:
Ward the pic of the Inner Thigh (Right) armor piece looks promising and > accurate than the existing FX piece. Looking forward to see the rest of the pictures of the Upper Thigh armor for both legs.
I'm just wondering how much is the coverage in between the front and back of your AM abdomen plates that you've shown :
before a gap can be seen. This is relation to a trooper's waist size - will it cover well for troopers who have 34" to 35" waist?

Gian I *Salute* and congratulate you on your MEPD Deployment. You have superior prop making skills esp. your scratch built T-21 and your reworked Backpack, which is very well done.
BTW what material are you referring to by "forex" in your T-21 reference pics?
To me, forex sounds like foreign exchange!

Thanks My Brothers!!! Very excited to be part of such an awesome group....I
Congratulations bro, you've reaped the good fruits of your time and efforts. Make the Empire proud!

Oh man the trailer ROCKS!!!!
Great to see the BFGs in shooting action by the Empire's finest!

Sorry to hear about that Jay and thank you for service as the Executive Officer to the MEPD Detachment.
Hope things work out for you offline.

I had mine fabricated (with help of friends who runs an engineering shop) using thin Hollow Steel pipes/tubes in order to match the Vintage Boy Scout's Backpack. Pictures will be posted soon.
Its construction was based on the excellent Visual Guide in Field Pack Build From the Garage of Scootch

Hi Rolf,
Like to know how did you put these parts together on your MH/SB Backpack (yes I'll be embarking on mine in due time after the rest of my parts have reached me safely ) :
1. Mortar Tube
Any pics to show how you assembled this to right side of your Backpack Seed Trays / Frame?
Also what is the exact lenght in Inches/cm of your "Mortar" Tube before adding the End Caps?
2. Exhaust Port
Any pics taken when you assembled this part?
3. Backpack Straps
What are the materials did you use and how did you attach them to your Backpack frame?
Thanks bro

Thanks for sharing dutchy looks like you're on the roll again!

Thanks bro .
But not for long, i will pull him through a sand storm asap
We will be looking forward to that bro!
-
Cool pictures. Thanks for sharing Todd!
-
Ha ha its a deal.
Good thing is, that its only the sandtroopers i work whit.
(i will all ways have a ANH stunt stormtrooper, but the sandtroopers are my hobby.
And i will never stop, if someting better comes up for them)
Right now i wait for my:
1. Sci-fire MG-15.
2. Dan Laws TK/TD suits.
When i get them, i hope Sci-fire will make there pauldrons.
Then i get all 3 ranks there, and if they make a full accurate back pack kit one day.
I guess i take one too there.... and then... i might be done... but again... who know
FFWD 30 years from now, we'll have TD-252's (Private) Sandtrooper Museum on Planet Earth, where you can find the complete range of Screen Accurate Sandtrooper Replica props and Paraphrenalia ever produced.

Congratulations on your MEPD Deployment Maurice!

Sounds good bro.
Now that its your first, better make it up to 10 to 12 hours.
Roger to that bro. 10 to 12 hours or even longer - you know that I have pretty limited spare time in hand. <_< Maybe I'll start off by correcting the miniature, but screen accurate Marmit 12" "Move Along" Sandtrooper Backpack that I've in hand as practise first?
As we know the MH/SB/Charlie kit is not a full kit, but all most, and the most accurate out there to get. Good luck whit finding the last small parts, and put it good together.
Agree on the most accurate part. The parts that I've sourced locally to complete my Sandtrooper Backpack build are the Backpack Frame, Toilet Cistern Syphon Unit, PVC pipe as the Mortar and CLOROX disinfecting Wipes Cannisters.
Now need to source for the right type of Backpack strap.
See you, when you are ready for duty my friend
I'm progressing slowly but steadily towards that direction bro.
-
I will say:
About 2 hours to trim the parts.
3 hours if you humbrol brish paint them, 30 minnuttes if you spray paint them.
Assemble/glue, screw, strip them together, 3 hours.
So i will guess around 8 hours or so in total, then your ready for duty .
Thank you for sharing from your experiences bro. I guess that its going to take me one full weekend to get my first one done!
-
Thanks for sharing Rolf - great collection!
Have you completed your collection, or there are a some more pouches out there that will be added to your collection?
-
Snazzy piece of modding. Well done. Looks much better.
Man... if I could only figure out how to trim ABS I would be done with my helmet already... YIKES...
NoHumorMan - you mean you're making our own Sandtrooper helmet using ABS sheets? That's cool man!
-
Rolf may I ask how long did it take you to put everything together : from getting the package to trimming to assembly? It won't be long before I get my parts to carry on with this phase of my MEPD project.

Thanks for sharing your new TE2 armor acquisition with us bro.
When you mentioned that they "kept it in the Danish duty/Told/Tax fee for 3 days" does that mean you have to pay for some Custom Duty before you can get your package?
-
TM do we foresee a new generation of long lasting durable armor in the years to come?
This winning combination of screen accuracy and flexibility will be its endearing hallmark. I wonder if 1.5mm is the optimum thickness and is this plastic a type of Styrene with heavy rubber contents to give its extra-ordinary flexibility?

Looks like you've a great time and thanks for sharing the pics of the awesome Man Cave with us.

Does anyone have a good picture for sandtrooper shoulder straps? I was originally going to use cnvas to match the belt but learned that it was actually elastic.
I used the same canvas material as my belt for mine. But like Mike said you could use some strapping underneath to join the front & back pieces of your chest armor.
Here is a reference pic from www.looksirdroids.com :
that indicated "Vaccuformed ribbed straps were added over the shoulder of the stormtrooper armor to help hide the connection of the chest and back plate. The sandtrooper lacks these ribbed straps.***."

It's up.
I recently switched web hosts and there was no 'www' resolution in the old link. Thanks for catching that, I just fixed it.
Mike - your website is down again. I clicked onto the url and received this error message :
"The webpage "www.tk1536.com" cannot be found
DNS error occurred. Server cannot be found. The link may be broken."

Looks great Noel and here's to your MEPD Deployment.
BTW what was the color of the Blue and paint brand you used for certain parts of your TD backpack?
