  1. If you need help scaling it, just let me know. I have a good technique that helped me get my kids armour more accurate.
  2. Getting better, but the cod needs some work. Don't you have your RS to scale off?
  3. I've got some Diamond knee plates and 3 button abdomen plates available if you're still looking?
  4. I see the accuracy bug has bit you New pulls are looking much better! Keep up the good work
  5. I struggled before and had to click the BBCode in the top left hand side of the message box when replying and posting photos.
  6. Observing from a great distance!

  7. You're right and I apologise to you, Mr_Hair. Reading back it does look that way but I never meant it to sound bad. I guess I should just leave you guys to it in future.
  8. No it's not. And it's quite hard to fathom how you could get it so wrong with the parts being so different.
  9. You messed up then. They are definitely assembled wrong after looking more closely at them.
  10. Your thighs look very odd. Like you have assembled both inner parts together on one leg and both outer parts on the other. Are my eyes deceiving me?
  11. Try and keep the thighs nice and loose, especially the lower end near your knees. Once you are happy with the fit, split the difference in the overlap at the backs. Keep the back knee border trim equal and try to keep the curve on the inner halves at the top. You may end up cutting more of the outer top parts at the back than the inner parts but do whatever you need to do and keep them looking as equal as possible. Post photos of anything you are unsure of and I will be happy to advise.
  12. You might be alright. The top two screws will go back in the same holes but you may need to drill a new hole for the lower screw. I have seen some helmets that look like Swiss cheese behind the ear caps with all the adjusting that has been done, but you should only need one extra hole 'if' your lower screw doesn't fit the original hole.
  13. I would trim the ears down more. Take more off the bottom and taper upwards. You can have the circular part as little as 5mm thick. Take a bit off at a time and keep offering them up until you are happy. Small gaps are not a problem if you end up with them.
  14. Looking good so far. Leave any trimming under the helmet until you have the ears fitted. You will probably need to trim more to get your head but I always leave that while last.
  15. Those snap tabs are just under the chest line where it slopes back. Having then there gives you room for the ab plate to move up without the snaps popping open.
  16. That is a standard strapping set up consisting of snaps and elastic straps. Only the original strapping set up uses glued straps. Use whatever you feel like in your sons armour, both will do the same job. The chest always overlaps the ab plate.
  17. I have built thighs about the same size as yours and just added wide strips as you have done. I made the front 40-50mm wide and the back was a much bigger wedge like yours. You have to do whatever it takes to get the armour to fit you.
  18. Nice boots, Daz! Now slap some paint on them!
  19. They are the exact same boots as used in Star Wars. Can't get much better than that!
