I'm going for a F.C.I. next as a GL-9.

That's smart. Having started out at a USP and gotten used to that environment, I was shocked when I went down to an FCI for my 8 (that was Forrest City). I wanted soooo badly to get back to a USP b/c hardly anything ever happened at the Medium where I was and everyone seemed to overreact when it did and were waaaaaaaaaay too complacent when things were quiet. The USP was great b/c no matter how many bodies hit the floor and how much blood and guts (literally) were on the walls, as an officer you'd just do your little memo and a shot or two and you were out the door. When I transferred to Lompoc, on USAjobs.gov it was still listed as USP Lompoc. I got here to find out that it was actually stepped down to a Medium FCI and a Low FCI complex. I was all kinds of butt-hurt about that. That lasted right up until I did my first incident packet. LOL! As a Lt., there's no way you could make me go back to a USP. There has been plenty enough work for me at the Medium (I'm THAT Lt. here. If it's going to happen, it'll happen on my shift). If I had to go back to being an officer, then the USP is for me.

Now that Sands and I have confused the crap out of most of you with "Bureau-speak," we'll return this thread over to the rest of the participants who have somewhat normal jobs! LOL

I understood a little.....out at Corcoran I gave some company hand held radios to the c/o's working with us. We spoke in ten codes and stuff. All the big wigs coming through the sallyports had to suffer....... code was "The duck is in the pond" and so forth. Plus they'de mess with our bosses, make em pull their pockets inside out, lift their shirts, take off their shoes, and all for our amusement. We mostly used the radios for that and ordering burritos! I used to have a collection of handballs which came from the "shoe?" Charlie Manson was in. We had much fun pulling pranks on one another on that job but a couple times my escort and I got stuck in there while some manhunt would be going on. He was one awesome dude though and I'd just stay the night at his place instead of drive all the way back to Bakersfield.

Very interesting... Its good to know a bit more about you all.

My job is like this:

Pretty much all day long I just sit in my desk or with coworkers and boss and talk about cool things, about movies, about the simpsons, about tv commercials and about new stuff on the net. Then, we take all that we talked and put it into writing new TV commercials and advertising campaings... Im an Associated Creative Director in an Advertising Agency in Mexico City.

My clients include beer, snacks, mobile phones, sunglasses, a stationary brand, and a milk co.

The downside is the weird schedules, deadlines and super stressed clients... but, I like it.

I am listed as a Mos Eisley Police Officer employed by the Galactic Empire over Facebook... hehe.
