Only if you can show reference pics for it ;-)

No idea, those 2 boxes are from @travis.mctucky. But I wonder why they should have done something like that.

That's so beautiful I'm going to cry

Again, I think this is something that can be heavily influenced by camera angle and possibly painted vs. unpainted appearance. But it's a great discussion! I think what we can agree on is that the Brexton boxes are pretty close. We have solved so many puzzles in the past I'm sure we will tackle this one as well

It can be a bit confusing because different pictures seem to yield different evidence (based on angle, lighting, etc.). But given that the Brexton boxes IMO tick most of the right boxes I'm still holding on to that theory. The Brexton boxes are from that era, have the right size (and everyone who has done a bit of research on those boxes knows how unique this size is), the right shape and have the ridge on top of it. Below is a good picture that compares the ridges of the (smaller) Brexton box with the one on the pack. I tried to highlight the lip since it's a bit hard to see it on the picture:

Well, if there was only one move along pack they heavily modified it during the course of the scenes. Take a look at the cantina captain pack or the alley check scene where this type of pack also appears; both have a lab pipe (okay, that could have fallen off) and the seed trays have a different color (the lower top seed tray of the alley check backpack has the battleship grey color). Also the lunch box of the "move along" pack in the falcon take off scene appears to have a lip (the size is debatable) whereas on the pack in the move along scene the lip is almost non-existent pretty much like the larger/right lunch box posted above. Furthermore the radio of the pack of the cantina captain and alley check trooper appear to have the dial decal (top left circle) whereas the radio of the move along pack appears to be completely sprayed black. Now I'm not saying I'm 100% percent sure on everything just my perceptions. Alley check pack:

IMO, these are 2 similar but different packs. For the move along pack I would say the right one is (more) correct. For the pack I'm trying to emulate (shown in the reference pic) the shape and form of the left Brexton picnic box looks better. However, I do see Gino's point about the lip being closer to the box. Just not sure yet what to make of it.

I don't know, bro. The paint and the photo angle make it hard to say for sure. That's why I'm looking forward to have it assembled and painted. The overall dims however fit pretty good.

yup, Brexton picnic food storage container to be precise ;-)

It's a Brexton.

The lunch box arrived! Very happy with it I can't wait until I've painted and assembled the pieces but so far the proportions look spot on!

That looks pretty good!

Nice idea but I think the thing you're referring to had a larger diameter and was a bit thicker.

Here are some more pics: I actually did find one reference pic where the plunger possibly had a scre on top so it's possible that they screwed them onto some kind of lid on the bottle. Gino's screw does look a little bit to pronounced though. I find it fascinating that you don't not really notice some things unless you really look for them. I never realized the plunger caps had ridges on them and the recess on the top until I specifically looked for them. The ridge might look a bit too pronounced on the plunger right now but I guess once its painted it will blend in more. Exciting times my brothers!

Yeah, I'd glue it on too. Not sure about the screw. I can't really see one in the reference pics I posted in the initial post.

Yes, the large ones. @Airborne Trooper: Well, how do you attach the other ones to the bottle ;-) ? @crashmann: Welcome to the plunger party, lol!

Yeah man, me too. I've known they were rubber plungers for quite some time now but I've never found one that fits the bill. And I didn't think somebody would be so bold as to sell a 30 year old used rubber plunger on ebay, yuck ;-) But then by pure luck - call it serindipity - I found one on Amazon UK earlier this week! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0001P0F40/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_1

Come on, don't be so picky. After removing a couple of 30 year old crusty brown layers they look almost new

Yes, it is a toilet plunger or a "Pömpel" as some say in Germany! Well done, guys!

I wondered when someone might ask ;-)) Guesses anyone? Here's a hint: You would usually get it in the same department as you would get the syphon ;-)

The diameter is 12cm, the bottle close to 10cm.

Allrighty, here we go. How does this look (bottle and cap are unpainted)? Reference pic:

All good bro it was the right one

Hi, @crashmann offers very nice replicas of the canteen flasks and @RedBeard an excellent radio with the corrects dims. Cheers
