DirtyBoy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 kooks great man.....I think with some field pack modifications you should be just about set. Weathering looks really cool, nice attention to detail. Quote
Smally Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Great job both. Love the look and attention to detail in the 'screen bloopers' on parts of the armour, Very authentic! Well done Dave H and best of luck Dave M! Smally. Quote
DaveMars Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Cheers guys! I didn't swear on my last post by the way lol took me a while to work out why it censored it I don't think we've missed anything Dave? I spent alot of time repainting, removing the weathering & pump off the field pack so hope it meets requirements Looking forward to trooping with Dave & Brad next week! Hopefully 3 SWAT's in 1 squad Quote
DirtyBoy Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I spent alot of time repainting, removing the weathering & pump off the field pack so hope it meets requirements you can definitely tell you guys have done tons of work. The Armor has a great look to it...love the extra details you guys have worked out. As far as the pack is concerned,I hate to be the "bad" guy but it will need to be modified to get to a more screen accurate look. I think if you step back and look at the other SWAT threads youll see what I mean...I know its frustrating to be so close but its what we've all gone through with the new SWAT designation. When your through the process you will be happy you went back and fine tuned over and over again.....makes the award that much more special. Much harder to achieve and with each submission becomes a more "educated" evaluation good luck Dave.... Quote
trooper1 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I would like to see some pics with items layed out on the floor or something. For some reason alot of the pics are washed out, or blurry you may say. Cannot see alot of the details because of the blurr. If that would be possible it would be a great help. Things look great, but just need details. Quote
DaveMars Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Cheers trooper1 Dave didn't feel comfortable crouching under me taking pics of my butt & cod, I've had pics of the details for a while on facebook but I'll take some new pics of them Quote

DaveMars Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Got a busy week at work but I'll try & upload some pics tonight when I work out how to again lol My girlfriend Jen took a few pics during the clearance photo's the quality might be better & brighter than Dave's camera Quote
DaveMars Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Can i use picasa to upload pics?? Just checked Jens photo's got quite a few of the pack from various angles I'll also take some pics of the armour Details tonight Cheers for the feedback guys! Quote
DirtyBoy Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Awesome....biggest thing I see is the positioning of the vent and bottle on the top trays. I can't see the bend on the frame and the trays need to be closer together. I know this might not be cost effective but if you want to cover shipping, I'll revamp your pack and upgrade some parts for free might take a while though...lol Quote
DaveMars Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Cheers mate Shipping to the US might cost abit, I'll contact Nathan from fettgear about getting the correct angles for the frame. He made most of the parts for the pack & gave me accurate links Don't think it helped that the pack wasn't as high as it usually sits, I wasn't wearing the seat belt pads that I use on a long days troop & the pack looks like it's slipped down Quote
DaveMars Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 The top bar of the pack usually sits on the part that sticks out on the back plate, like it does on my mepd pic. Looking at the clearance pics I can see it's lower than usual, well spotted! I think the pack looked loads better weathered haha its amazing what a lick of new paint can do. shame I can't afford the blu rays to do some research I'll try and post some More pics later Quote
