@Smally, That is what my mother says too. Just not in my nature. She yells at me for that too.

@Jay, Yes I know I just got deployed. But the build didn't happen overnight, so I got excited. Got worried that I didn't see anything from command on what I needed to change or if it was good. My bad. Just a friendly bump on the post. Changed it. Sorry.

You ever a kid waiting for your Red Rider BB Gun? I keep telling everyone that is what I want for Christmas. Everyday my kids ask about it. OK, I will sit on my hands and stop talking.....

Sorry for not being available!

I am going for some very complicated year's end at work, with LOADS of work!

Will be trying to review all pendant submissions this and next week.

Will try anyway to post any suggestions for your SWAT build today or maybe tomorrow.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Saludos.

Juan,

No stress. I understand. Take your time. Rick needs to get you a helping DO team. We are getting too big. NEVER TOO BIG! Just kidding, I know he is working on helping you out with a team. Seriously, take your time. I just needed to hear from the bosses so I could relax. I was beginning to think I really did upset someone. Like I told Rick, I will go sit in my corner and wait quietly. Thanks for your time and have a great day.

Al,

I know, I know. Need to be patient. I work retail and know what they are going through. I get days off, unlike some (Bad bosses, bad bosses) and spend it glued to the computer. Watching. Waiting to open my Christmas present.

Posted

LOL!

Yep, I work retail too... but in some other way.

I am in advertising and my main client is Walmart.

So we design all they National Advertising campaigns for them... Being the end of the year the most busy period with all the pre-xmas sales, Buen fin (Mexican Black Firday), Toy shopping season sales, Xmas sale, year's end sale, end of season sale and... so on. Till January.

So... yes, retail is a busy thing at this time of year.

But, have no fear, I will be here soon!!!

Saludos.

Smally, I take it back. Luis said it best on Facebook:

Good things come to those who wait. (SCRATCH THAT)

Good things come to those who work their a@#&$ off and never give up. (Now THAT's what I'm talking about)

Thanks Luis for the great quote brother. I appreciate it and used it.

Juan and Rick, not a challenge to chime in. I know you are busy, just friendly banter with Brad. Move along, move along.

Ben,

I could be wrong mate but I'm sure I saw 2 rank stripes on the left ear of your helmet. Is that true. In which case I think it should only be 1 stripe and at the very back bump for "Move Along"?

No worries mate. It really looked from your shots as though there was 1 bump on the right but 2 on the left. Just wanted to check in order to be thorough.

WOW! Al, yes, that is what a SWAT post feels like. Just ask anyone who has been there. It is all in good fun and to help make us better, but seriously....THAT WAS FUNNY!

Rick, not sure who needs to go on the couch, but I am about to go on mine and sit in a fetal position and suck my thumb....hehehe.

Juan, Rick and Michael,

I would like to withdraw this post and request. While I did over a year of research for my build, long before being deployed, I just discovered a few more things I can add to my gear. I'm going to work on those mods and re-submit as SWAT in a short while. I appreciate all the feedback and welcome any additional opinions to assist me in a PM. Thank you.

@ Ben - Now that is dedication! Your decision to step back (even though you didn't have to) and recheck your gear is commendable and is exactly what the SWAT Program was designed for: TDs who take pride in their armor builds and their commitment to producing the best TD suit they possibly can. Hands down.

MEPD Officers already have the most accurate TDs in the entire Legion and for those that want to complete a personal goal of getting as close to screen accurate as they can with their build, this is the program for you. That is why it's always great to troop a bit and look over your gear once in a while. Most likely you'll discover a detail or two that you might have overlooked.

There is no timetable for an Officer to become SWAT, nor is it a competition.

When you do decide to re-submit, I believe your armor will be even better. Your entire rig is impressive, as it is. Believe it or not, after letting the weathering sit for a while, when you touch it up again, the weathering will have more of an authentic 'layered' feel to it. That will only help in getting the armor that much closer to what you are striving for.

I've noticed that trooping numerous events in the past couple of years, my armor was starting to get that worn look from the sun and air. So, although the armor still felt new and strong, the appearance was looking more and more worn and troop used. The detailing was now looking more organic as opposed to painted on (which of course is the base coat! lol)

That's why we here in Command always advised newly deployed Rookies to get out there and enjoy being an MEPD Officer. SWAT will always be there. You will know when you are ready and people will too!

Stay in touch and please keep at it, Ben. You are close to the finish line, Brother! :td::thumbsup:
