https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=39857&costumeID=2 I looked for the link to see if your TD had already been accepted. You should have added that at the top. Everything is clear now. -

I have been approved by the 501st already, but I’m not sure what you mean. What else or what do I need to do in order to have basic TD approval? -
Great Pic, welcome Darren!

Great, as far as I'm concerned there's nothing standing in the way of Level 2. I have to ask again - you don't have basic approval for the Trooper yet? If not, do it quickly and as soon as the TD Basic is approved, I will switch you to level 2. I have to stick to this order. Regards Thomas -

I just saw that you don't have a "Basic" approval yet? However, this has to be done first, I overlooked that. Despite everything, you won't have any problems with submitting the TD for a Basic. If you add the screws (M3 countersunk head) - like in the picture - then you will also get approval from me for Level 2 - the Police Officer. -
233 Officers have now received their requested Certificates. *** Take care and Stay Safe out there, Troops! ***

Awesome If that will get me to level 2 then I'll get this done today. Do you have any reference to how to dummy these? -

The screws are just dummy. The effort is not great. 30 minutes, no more. Then nothing stands in the way of Level 2. -

Thanks Bigwam for the feedback! As for the holes in the rank bars that is used for my hearing device. There are small mics installed into there and holes help me be able to hear everything around me while trooping. For the screws I chose not to put them in this run since I would require some more work. I was hoping for a basic approval for now, but maybe later this year I can simulate the screws. -

Congrats -
To match the CRL, If memory serves (sorry Im old) it is fullers earth and not painted. The CRL page is down, atleast for me ATM.

A wash is very thinned paint 10:1 is a good starting point, with a drop of dishing liquid. The dishwash liquid breaks surface tension and helps the wash "flow". A wash is applied sloppily. Dont be afraid, although I do recommend maybe testing on a scrap armor piece. Capillary action will draw the paint into recesses, around raised details and into any panel lines. If you apply it to heavily or if you dont like it for some reason, it can easily be removed with a damp cloth. Then repeat until you have the desired effect. For my TD I used the hair spray and fullers earth technique exclusively. I prefer washes and dry brushing techniques for Mandos for example. Just my thoughts and YMMV of course.
