These are some detailed pack photos I shot of my Sideshow TD Sandtrooper (white pauldron version). They seemed to have done a decent job in capturing the details, so I that I'd grab some shots incase anyone needed them.

I have the other 2 figures on order (their "Squad Leader" and "Corporal") which could be used as reference for Pack 3 and Pack 2 respectively. I could post pics when I get them if people want them.

Is it just me, or that backpack look suspiciously a lot like a MEPD backpack and not so much as the real screen used ones?

Just check this:

Radio: More like Crashmann's than like the Sonix Victory 75
Syphon: Same story, this even has the funnel end and no screw like finish at the buttom.
Air filter: Looks more like an air filter than like the prop with all the thin tubes around the main tube
Bee stinger: more like the marmite than like the real deal...

Dont get me wrong, the figure is amazing. Would love to have one, but... Im just thinking this backpack seem to be modeled after someone's backpack than after the real screen shots. This is easier I guess... but also funny. Wouldnt be the first time it happens, as we all know.

:D

Saludos.

I love that figure!

Thanks for the pictures.

And yes Sideshows figure seems to have a striking resemblance to Art Andrews AKA braksbuddy's armor

Hah-hah, I agree with you!

But imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. I'm going to have to get one of the figures :)

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Ha ha! The first thing I noticed was the siphon assembly looks exactly like The Crashmann siphon. Pretty cool! :duim:

Thats one nice 12" sandy, the best of the 12" series so far i think.
The back packs are pretty accurate, A+ job.
Might get a few for my son here :)

To me, thats an FX lid.

Look at the side tubes. Its is just like the FX. Also, it might be better proportioned than the real FX, but it still has that look. And even the gap between the dome and back. Just 3 pieces like FX. HEHEHE...

But then again, dont take me wrong. Thats an amazing figure, wish I had one... someday! maybe.
hehe.

It does look a lot like a Crashmann pack now that you mention it. :) The radio corners don't have the dimples / rivet things, and the vents on the speaker looks a lot like Crashmann's too.
