Getting a Phishing Warning

Just an FYI to the powers that be...

I keep getting a phishing warning when browsing the site on my iPhone 5s, using the mobile theme on Safari, and going through wifi. I reported it as an error to Google, but wanted to make you aware of the possible issue.

I get it as well.

Earlier today when I posted a link to a thread, I also got that other redirected hijack thing that had happened earlier in the year, that Darth Aloha has been trying to fix.

Edit - it even comes up when I hit reply and then again submit for the reply

Just started having the problem today, and only on this site (not happening on FISD or Garrison Carida's forum). Tried the non-mobile theme, and getting it there as well. Really kinda weird...and annoying.

For Darth - Don't know if any of this will help
I found the post from a few months back when I did a screen grab.

http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=14013&view=findpost&p=179079
The images are the same as from what was going on earlier today, prior to the phishing alert message.
I am now back on my new laptop and it appears that the error is still occurring on my mobile devices, BUT on my laptop, once you have disregarded the phishing error, it accepts it.

EDIT - I have also been experiencing a strange thing with the formatting of text. When I start a new line of text

it will get so far and then it will jump and start writing in reverse. See the end of my second edit. That should say "Don't know if that is important."

EDIT - I have also noticed at the bottom of the page under "members, guests and anonymous users" there are two "users" one is " <<<" and the second is "BBB". When usually if it is a member it would say their name, or if they are here anonymously it would say guest.

tnatropDon't know if that is im

I'm getting it here at work starting this morning. My work's firewall catches it and when I disable that, my browser (Google Chrome) catches it as well. I am obviously able to get to the forum but this needs to be addressed.

All my Barracuda network appliances are telling me the mepd.net is now black flagged, need to get it back on the white list..

Once a person reports the domain to a reputation service it spreads like wildfire..

need to submit a removal request, here is the link..

http://www.barracudacentral.org/rbl/removal-request

Another thing to check with the hijack (Redirect) is IIS and the DNS records, there may be a hook on the DNS records. Just verify they are pointing to the right name servers..

Hope this helps

Chris

I don't know if it's any help at all but the exact same thing is happening on the UKG forum section too.

Lee, thx for the heads-up. Please let us know when you guys have found a fix. Could potentially be the same root problem. We will do the same.

Thanks

No worries. As of last night the phishing warning is no longer happening on UKG. I think it was something to do with a link that was posted but I'm not sure.

Thanks for your input, guys. We're working hard behind the scenes to fix the problem and to convince google that our site is safe again. We'll keep you posted. In the meantime should you see any droids that do not belong here please let us know!

I was contacted about this (I own the domain MEPD.net)

its good until 2017 and the name servers look good.

I have no admin rights to the servers, so really have no way to help. But if the DNS needs changed let me know.

In my experience there is some rogue code somewhere on the site.

If you all would like assistance to resolve this let me know. :salute:

Another thing to check is the hosting or ISP that is hosting the site, they may be more infected sites on the server causing the DNS hijack on the data store.

My last Director of IT position i had a in house hosted site on our IIS that was causing a spoofed NXDOMAIN response, oddly only cretin sites were effected.

In the past i have seen a redirect hijack from Nigeria, that attacked the hosted name server directly and caused that problem. It attached its self to port 10800 (Linux nameserver). Having said that i have yet to see a WINS(Windows nameserver) or NIS (UNIX nameserver) get hijacked the same way.

 isnt Internet Algorithms fun ?? lol

Like clean your cache and cookies? Not using bookmarks?

When I post links to here in our private garrison Sandy group, it shows up, so I have to break links.

I first noticed the other hijack/ redirect error (I linked earlier up in the page) when I was on my mobile, and did not have the forum bookmarked. So I typed in to google "MEPD forum" or something like that. I clicked on the Google result that was correct and got that hijack re-direct to that "filestore 321".

edit - I am on my laptop now. No error.

I'm also getting the warnings and can't use the forum on my Mac book pro. I'm on my iPhone 5s here and it works fine. But so far the Mac is down. So I can't post pics etc so far. I have report it to google as well. Troop on.
