Hi folks,

I'm think 1 year about it to build a real Tunisia Bapty Blaster out of a Sterling.

I was thinking how i can manage the grip installation. Now i have some ideas and here it is: the WIP

The part list:

- Sterling

- Hengstler Eagle Counter

- M38 from 1942

- power cells and metal scope rail from Andy

- real sized t-tracks

- real Sterling magazine with wooden block

- aluminium grip

- just a little bit of green stuff

- and JOY!!

Started today and here are some pictures....

Alright...today i will start with the grip, for me the most difficult part. the alu grip is massive and i will need the Sterling framework for a better stability.

But i will train with a doopy grip

some pics tonight.....

Alright, after the attempt to drill a hole into the doopy grip i decided to to another way. Why? the doopy grip is too thin an can break:-(

and i did not had the right Tools to make this hole fitting to the Sterling Frame. And i had to make the same procedure with the massive Aluminium grip....no way! I don't think that Bapty&Co installed the grip like i planed. So i had to make a decision.....

The next step is to prepare the Sterling for the grip Installation

AND

to cut off the back end:-)

Felix

Felix,

Looking awesome. I really enjoy your Bapty Blaster build projects and your commitment to detail. I also like how on the FISD most comments (all positive) are about you cutting into a real Sterling and in here we don't even bat an eye :)

For the rigger guard i will use 10mm steel, not Aluminium.

And here is the result...

not perfect but i love it:-)

And now the rear sight (for both i used a special epoxyd resin particular for metal; in the past i used green stuff)
