Vf2112
Looking good solder I'd have to say close up those sides, lift pack a bit higher and same with front pouch but all else looks good mate
mikefite
Like Vince said. About this height
Tk-7186
Pack I can pull up on the front straps to pull up the pack and that should pull up the front pouch. The side gap is close when the belt is not on. As soon as I pull the belt tight it "V's" the top part. I am going to try a non-stretchy inside strap to see if that stops the "V'ing". I will get some additional photos up in the next few days. Thanks.
Tk-7186
Thanks for the photos. Good reference on the pack and pouch height.
Vf2112
I think if the pack comes up the pouch would go forward n down? Or are you shortening something between pack n pouch?
Gordonator
Looking good.Your URL to your 501st profile doesn't seems to be working. Maybe you can fix that too.And don't forget to request for Sandtrooper access here as well. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=12352
Smally
With regards to the 'V' section that appears when you put on the belt, do you have elastic at the tops of you ab section attaching to the top of the kidney plate? This will pull the two together. I'm afraid to tell you that you have also applied the tube stripes on the right side of your helmet the wrong way round. You also need a little detailing on the ab section. In the centre box (pretty much in the centre of the stomach area) you're missing the round detailing in the lower right corner :
Vf2112
Indeed I missed that ! Nice smally
Tk-7186
The helmet came pre-built from RT-MOD, so I assumed the stripes were correct. I have an extra set so not a big deal to change. Since the AB plate is part of the molded AB, I am not sure how to get that detailing. Can I just glue a round Dusk there?
Tk-7186
1) Smally. I was reviewing the CRL and there is no reference to that round detailing on the AB plate. The picture on the CRL also does not show it. Did I miss something in the CRL or I am not understanding your post? I am assuming the round disk on the center panel lower right in your picture? 2) As per the CRL I see the tube stripes should go the other way and it appears to only be one side of my helmet with the error. Glad I have extra decals. 3) The AB straps are elastic, thus the pull when the belt is on. I am going to swap those out with non-elastic ones. 4) I adjusted the front pouch this morning while waiting for waffles and it will be higer in the next set of pictures. 5) I will redo the link at lunch. **Completed**
SCRIBBLER
@ Gerrit - I've updated your forum profile and status. Your Armor/Gear review has also officially begun. D.O. Comments / Mod Requests shortly. Stand by. * Note: Per your question above...1) Smally. I was reviewing the CRL and there is no reference to that round detailing on the AB plate. The picture on the CRL also does not show it. Did I miss something in the CRL or I am not understanding your post? I am assuming the round disk on the center panel lower right in your picture? The disc / rivet detail is optional for standard MEPD Officer (at this time) due to the different armor makes out there. Some have it on their molds and some don't. BUT, this requirement will be enforced for SWAT status and quite possibly future applicants for MEPD.My advice would be to add the detail now and get it out of the way. Plus it makes your armor look even more screen accurate.
Tk-7186
I will add the disc to the AB. For people who do not have that molded on, what is everyone glueing there to represent it? If there is no one item I can make it. What are the dimensions? Thanks.
SCRIBBLER
I actually used a Large Flange Head Pop Rivet on my first set of armor to replicate the disc. I believe it's the 1/4" size. Here is my ATA Armor after the Pop Rivet mod with paint/weathering finish... (Just eyeball the measurements to come as close as you can to the detail.) Tk-7186
I was poking around the forum and see the disk shape like yours and the rounded shape that almost looks like a lifesaver candy. I have regular 1/4 inch washers at home I may try out. Thanks.

Adding the disc/rivet detail to the AB section will only increase the accuracy of your suit. Also adjust your shoulder pouch so it doesn't slip under your chest armor. Have it so it sits on top of the chest corner at all times. Do you have anything inside the pouches? Putting solid wood blocks (or similar in shape) inside will allow the pouch to look less flimsy and we'd also be able to see all 3 sections of the pouch from all angles. These points are all towards a cosmetic mod as you have met the requirements for what is needed on your rig. We just want you too look as accurate as possible upon first glance. Good job overall! ** PENDING **III.) BACKPACK: a.) Details -- CHECK b..) Weathering -- CHECK A.) Tk-7186
After a slight detour for thin crust pizza I was able to get, I think, everything accomplished. 1) Link to membership ID - Completed 2) New stripes on right side of helmet 3) Sides closed 4) Backpack about 6 inches higher 5) Front pouch higher and wider blocks of wood added. 6) Center Ab button added to the bottom right side. Vf2112
All looks awesome bro Nice speed with the mods Is there a certain number of tube stripes ?12 sounds wrong
Tk-7186
Not sure. 12 was the amount that seems to fit on this helmet version and came setup that way. I have looked at other photos and they appear to range from 11 to 16 stripes depending on the helmet.
Tk-7186
As per the CRL on the stripes: (I knew I read it somewhere. I get forgetful when it gets late) ...........numbering between 9 and 15 per side (there does not need to be an equal amount per side). The curve bends backwards

Smally
Tube stripes depend on two things 1) If you're replicating an on-screen trooper 2) how many stripes YOUR helmet can fit. Nice work getting those bits done so fast.
