A big warm hi to all :)

This is my first ever attempt at building anything, my DIY skills have been compared to that of a Drunken Baboon. I don't really like DIY but have carried SW with me every day of my life after seeing the film so many years ago in a time far far away.

I have been lucky enough to get myself a TD TrooperMaster kit, Paul has been no less than fantastic through the whole process inspiring me to enjoy the build and have fun. His support and offer of help during my journey has given this novice the confidence to give it a good go. Hopefully i will give this amazing armor the credit it deserves, i really would appreciate any input as the experience on the MEPD is mind blowing.

Here is where i am.http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/005_zpsbf92bcb3.jpg Upper Bodyhttp://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/012_zps41a47156.jpg Lower Body http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/002_zpsd87b1de8.jpg All limbs measured and cut evenly from both sides. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/019_zps429598de.jpg Biceps http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/022_zps84c4b3a1.jpg Forearms

I am in the process of sourcing my Back Pack, Pouches and pouldron.

I apologise as i obviously have not got the hang of posting things properly.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my WIP, i look forward to eventually becoming a proud member of the 501st and MEPD to stand alongside some amazing individuals.

I still have some trimming to do on the return edges but i would really appreciate opinions on the general fit?

Many thanks in advance

Finally you started the wip! I've seen that you've done lots of research so there shouldn't really be any problems :)

There are a few runs of pouches on this forum so those ehould be. easy to find.

Good luch again and may the force be with you. ;)

Fantastic job Rick!!! If I may suggest something it would be to change your under dive suit for a Clima Cool Under Armoir, Adidas, Nike Lycra under suit. It gets hot in there 😄

However a Clima Cool under suit without visible logos not only fits like a tight glove but it vents proportional to heat and sweat.

I personally have one and it works me wonders when the heat goes on.

Just a suggestion and my 5 Bantha cents of opinion my friend 😉

Thanks for your input Luis,

I will look into a clima cool undersuit for sure, the weather here in the UK is incredibly changeable so i think i will need undersuits to suit each season. I also plan to travel to warmer climbs for trooping so i will deffo need some heat management

I must apologise for the long delay in my progress update, work has been all consuming which has been frustrating to say the least :(

I managed to do some work on my armour the last few afternoons, please let me know what you think :duim:

I removed the return edges from the wrists, the inner forearms, bottom of biceps and the bells, small return edges were left on the elbow of forearms.

I have fixed cover strips to the biceps, forearms and thighs, i will do the front cover strips for the shins today and attach the elastics with hooks to fasten the back of the shins.

Thank you for looking

Thanks Rolf,

Your weathering has inspired me, i need to concentrate on my build but every piece i touch i try to decide how dirty that piece will end up?

I am in a dilemma Rolf, the Desert Sargeant appears to have really strong oily residue in some scenes, ( Star on Forehead and Strong Lines on Chest Plate, under right eye and bridge of nose. not to mention circular and horizontal impressions. In some scenes they are absent, can you please advise on the direction i need to follow.

Thank you,

Ricky
