  1. After a long break, I have acquired all the parts for my pack, so will try and get it built and this project finished...
  2. After a lot of research, these MP5 pouches are the closest I can see to what limited reference material we have available. Thanks Nick for your advice on this pouch!!! The grey primer I went for is 'The Army Painter' Uniform Grey. Again it is personal preference to what colour people will use, but until an original pack surfaces people will chose what they feel looks the most accurate. This picture clearly shows how light affects colour :
  3. Looking good Nick! Can't wait to see this progress
  4. This arrived today, any thought opinions:
  5. Great looking armour!!! Looking forward to seeing this project!
  6. Cheers Nick! Managed to get most of the chest plate detailing done today, just need some tweaking!
  7. Got some more weathering done on the right arm, and decided to go for the dropped shoulder bell, so used some 50mm insulation tape which will also be used on the seed trays. Just need to shape the pauldron over the tape a little, but slowly getting there.
  8. Great work on the boots Nick, can't wait to see this build develop!
  9. Cheers guys! Armour arrived from TM this week, thanks again Paul...awesome work!!!! Have the bank holiday weekend now (due to the TT races) so time to get the weathering sorted, done some light base work on the chest plate. Need to shape the pauldron too. Armour goes well with the RS helmet:
  10. Cheers Nick!! Yes, once the trays are in place I will cut the top from the frame, and I have a set on end caps that look similar to the screen capture. I have made the moulds for the trays now, so getting a step closer!!
  11. Great link! I have watched ANH with the corrected colour, and the removal of the magenta tinge gives a more accurate colour representation, especially to the backpack parts!
  12. I thought the left side of the belt also had small pouches like the ones posted above, but this comparison pic shows that the brass closure stud is quite central to the pouches, and they appear to be double the length of the small `Spanish pouch on there right side: On checking the 'Move Along' with the two right hand guards, it looks like he does not have any MP40 pouches on his belt, and has this 3 pouch unit on his left side...just need to source it now!! I thought he had the small Spanish pouch to the right and the MP40 on the left, but this image tells otherwise!
  13. Awesome pic!!! This pack matched what the 'Move Along' trooper was wearing when we first see him with the M40 pouches on his belt!
  14. Thanks Brian, I am actively searching for more!! I'll have a look for a matching backing pad. Got my exhaust port built up today and thanks to Jeff and Cal at FarAwayCreations for the parts, awesome!! I had a roll of ribbed piping in stock for this project, but wasn't happy with the finish so put some black heat shrink over it and feel the result is much more an accurate finish: After applying a matt black finish I attached the jubilee clip and am happy with the end result:
  15. Cheers!! Finally got round to getting my syphon up to scratch, I have two mates who are plumbers who I hound on a weekly basis to search out more of these syphons After some repair work, gave it a coat of plastic primer followed by a coat of matt black: The above probably explains the requirement for the tabs used!
