Shisheo
I recently completed my armor and sent in my submission pics. The armor needed to have some modifications done. One major modification was the ab, butt and kidney plates. I am a skinny guy so I nknew I was going to have a problem with the armor not fitting right in areas. So my question is, wear should I trim from? I have attached pics to help determine this. Thank you.
mr_hair
It looks like your chest plate is hanging down too far. The shoulder straps might need shortening. Have you got a pic without your pauldron & shoulder pouch?
Shisheo
I dont have a pic without the pauldron. That was one of my issues that I fixed abut a week ago but I am still trying to figure out where i should trim on the sides? If you have any suggestions please let me know. Beren
I totally agree with Mr_Hair about your chest piece sitting too low. If you can take a photo to show how your chest piece fits, we can give you better advice on adjusting (and maybe not trimming) your armor to look better. Your biceps could be lowered a touch too... trooper1
Agree, a pic will help explain the details in trimming it up
mr_hair
If you can take a few pics without the pouch, pauldron & with your arms up so they're not covering your sides, we can find out what the problem is :-)
Shisheo
I will do that tonight when I get home from work.
Baron
As everyone above as stated, pics without the pauldron and preferably without the arms to. Looks like you will need to tape the ab plate to yourself, then the kidney overlap that. That will show you where you need to trim. Did you build this from scratch or was it pre-trimmed? Did anyone help you, like a "spotter" or anything?
Shisheo
The pics I have are to big. If you want I can send them to you via email. Sorry for the late reply, I had family matters out of state.
mr_hair
If you upload them via Photobucket or another pic hosting site, there shouldn't be a problem. Just upload to the site & copy & paste the URL link onto the post

mr_hair
Your belt slips down off the kidney plate at the back. I'd recommend sticking some Velcro on the lower corners of your kidney plate & the inside of your belt to keep everything nice & tidy. Also, try sticking a bit of foam in the inside of the ab plate just to fill it out a touch. Not a lot, just enough to keep it all tight
Shisheo
Do you recommend any trimming on the sides? As far as the length of the chest...is it good or should i bring it up more/ Thanks for the tips and help with this.
mr_hair
I don't think you should trim it mate. Try the Velcro & padding and see how you go first
