Pouch for Carrying Everyday Items?

Recommended Posts

What type of pouch do you use to carry your everyday items? I'm trying to find a good pouch to wear on my belt, that can carry the following things...

- car keys

- Blackberry cell phone

- wallet

What do you use to carry these things? I don't wear my backpack all the time, so I need to have something like a pouch to carry those items when I'm trooping. Any suggestions and photos are welcome! Thanks!

I jus picked up one of these:

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/WIN116-798-1377.html

It has the look of something a sandtrooper would wear. Has alot of space and has a large loop in the back that your belt will fit through. (once you remove a small amount of stitchimg.)

And for a whopping $2. **** ya can't beat that.

That looks great, but how many sandtroopers wear canvas pouches? I honestly could care less if it's leather or canvas, but I don't want to get slack from others in the 501st saying it's not "canon." How hard would it be to dye one of these black, and what would you use to do that?

When you get it, could you take a picture of it on you when you're wearing your armor? I need to see how this looks when trooping.

Thanks!

Yes I am thinking about dying it black. Gonna get some fabric dye and give it a shot. It will be awhile till my next trooping outing, but I will get pics when I can. I am also thinking about sewing a MEPD patch on it.

And as far as someone giving you flak about not being canon........any time someone starts that crap with me I end the discussion with one question: "Was your costume screen used?" ( As I start inspecting their costume.) They tend to shut up at that point.........

I have seen a few Swedish M39 ammo pouches of late. I refurbished one for myself and just recently found and dyed one for irob972. They originally come in a tan color but can easily be dyed black.

As I was in the middle of writing this post I found a similar one on eBay:

The best thing to do is just type "ammo pouch" in the search box on eBay. You'll see that they come in all shapes and sizes, just find one that suits you. I'd stick with leather as opposed to canvas--for authenticity's sake.

I hope this helps. Good luck on your hunt!!

"I'm TD-7708..

Oh a TD? So you're a Sandtrooper?

What? Oh no, son. That just means I'm Too Drunk cuz I've taken 7,708 drinks since I signed up."

*Drumroll*
