hey rolf, these is very good notice, eagle eye!! ;)

I had already observed it but not everything details like you ;) .

so it's really difficult to do an accurate trooper because they don't really the same look, scene to scene.

it's a true one break head  (i don't know again what i will do for my next armor...)

another detail i see is there seem to have two different (main) color for the weathering.

armors are black or sand color, probably it's the sun light do the color difference...

(is someone know what it was real use for the accurate weathering in 70')

---------

congratulations for your built helmet / armor and good luck for the next weathering stape.

it really in good road :)

Copy that.

Its hard to pick just one troopers weathering 100%, vs. different pictures, sun light, shaddows, colour pics, black/white pics etc...

+ after every taken scene, they mix the suit parts around random.

So every trooper have different chest, to another belly etc :D .

A old meember, told me... they used burnt oil, mixes whit sand for the weathering back then.

I will use the woodland weathering item, for the weathering.

But i will mix a few colours/tones my self of them.

Some of them are too yellow, red, green a like.

New pictures up today, or tomorrow.

Peace out :)

Here a few weathering pics:

1. I will not use all the colours in the woodland brand set.

I have mix two browns my self, from a older kit.

Its the two last ones to the right.

I only used 4 colours, and its the 4 tones from the right.

I will used a cut up t-shirt, a kitchen cloth, a bucket of wather, and thats it:

2. I add the second darkest of the two browns i have made, to make the details i want in the suit:

3. Then i will add the sand tone, in there.

Just beside the brown one:

4. Then the yellow a like, not too much.

Because it can quick turn too yellow a like:

4. I then take the bucket of wather, the kitchen cloth.

Touch it here and there, where i have add the weathering:

And here you see the suit, after 5 hours work:

I have not add the hair spray on yet, but i will today.

It will give the suit a more shine/gloss a like look in the end.

Hope you like him.

Cheers troops :)

Very nice Rolf, love how this suit came together the weathering looks top notch too. I think it's fantastic how accurate you are getting with each new suit.

Thanks for your kind words bro :D .

I just try my best, study hard, look all the ref pictures over and over before i make a new suit.

Whit out all the help/post/links/pm/mail replys here on mepd, i would not have been where i´m today.

So a big thanks to all the members out there, we got the best of the best sandtroopers in here.

Also a thanks to Jez starwarshelmet site, and BB sandtrooper site as well.

They have been a great help too, to reach the goal of being a accurate sandtrooper 4 sure.

Peace out.

(i have but a few new humbrol colours, and will paint it today/weekend.

Then all is in place, ready for some shooting pics.

I will try to make the MG-15 as accurate as i can.

There are both Dark grey and black, gold, bronze, silver, brown/wood on the gun + red numbers on the drum.

Hey Rolf,

How are you doing bro? I have a question about your new helmet.

Since you have not primed not painted your your new bucket, I am assuming you did not repaired the mould "damage" on the forehead. Or at least not with bondo or similiar stuff. Did you?

I know some (if not most) of the damage will be cut off when trimming, specially if its put together in the Move Along fashion, but... did you do any other or special thing to the HIPS on this place, or just left it as it was and hide it by trimming and covering with the brow?

Thx a lot bro for any help.

Saludos.

Hi my man, every thing is great here.

New baby and work is a time killer here, but still a happy man.

The TE2 helmet kit i got from Mr. T was different then the last ones.

The scar in the forhead was all most gone.

The scar in the back, and mouth was also not a showed as before i think.

But i´m have not ask T, about the work on it.

But i´m pretty sure he have given it a love touch for us.

Here a close up of my new TE2 bucket.

Cheers bro :)
