Critique my TD weathering.

You new updated weathering looks way better.

The first one was way to paint looks a like, too white vs. a colour.

One other thing, the colours looks off too.

Either too red, or yellow like.

I buy two sets, of the woodland series.

I then mix my own, more sandy like colours to get the yellow and red out of them.

I them put them all over the suit.

Start whit the light ones, then i work it up to the darker ones and put them into the detail areas.

I then take a wet, and a dry cloth.

Dab it here and there, first wet then dry.

This way, you don´t take all the colours off.

But leave a shadow fade like dusty area, and make it look old and used.

Here you see mine ;) .

my camera seems to be blowing the color out. it deifnitely looks more sand colored in person!

Yeah pictures can be tricky.

Once i show another sand trooper suit, and it also look way too yellow then real life.

Weathering is looking good..but still need to lose the strap and replace it with a canvas one. B)

Other than that, job well done.

all in due time. i still have to build my knee plate too and paint my helmet traps. this is what happens when you have too many things going on! :D

I know that road, I drove it a few times... :lol:

But why not buy a complete kneeplate on the boards??

because i like to build props and parts! i just need to pick up some ABS and snaps/straps to wrap it up :)

plus, i just finished this beast, so things should be moving a little faster!
