Here you see my ebay UK pauldron.

I was not 100% happy whit it, so i modify it a bit whit the neck dots.

Posted Image

But i was still not totally happy for it.

So i did some work on it today, while it was raining out side.

1. first i took off the velcro/leather/metal dot strap off, and the neck metal dots.

And cut out some foam out, for the thicker look.

2. If you look at the orange area, to the neck.

You can see that its too small made, there have to be more space/wider between the two left/right black foam parts coming in for the accurate match.

So i cut off some of the black plastic letaher, to give it a more wide look.

Also the black left/right parts on the pauldron are way too short to be accurate.

So i will make them go longer down.

3. Also the black out line, coming down over the chest is too point looking.

So i took off the black line around the pauldron, and cut some off the black off.

So it have the right size and shape.

That way, the tailor will be abel to sew it back together whit the foam.

And new black plastic leather piece.

Here a shot from the side.

I hope to pick up, the black plastic leather tomorrow.

And go to the tailor, and have it ready in the end of this week.

Cheers.

Rolf ;) .

Most standard ones are round leather ends, whit the metal dot in.

But in ANH, it seems like they was square like.

Rolf, thats one of the best mods ive seen. You have taken something as flat as a pancake and given it body.It looks 100% the part mate.

The Pauldron is one of the most visable parts of the sandy suit and to get it looking right is a must.

I can see many from the UK winging there way over to your post box for the Mrs Rolf magic.

Great team work to you both.

We try our best too yesterday.

It was pretty hard to remake it, because the layers was glued together whit some kind of thin foam.

Maybe we will make a black from the ground our self, and see how it turns out.

We got all the stuff here for making one.

In a way, i think we can do it even better.

If so, we do the sergeant too.

The shop here got the white, and black.

But they also got, some pretty good orange plastic leather too.

So maybe more to come, i wanna check whit Sara if she think it will be funny to make a few.

Once again, thanks for the kind words.

Cheers mate :) .

Thanks for your kind reply´s :) .

I have buy stuff ,to make a black one.

Hope to have it done in about 1 or 2 weeks.

The foam supply shop, is closed to the. 27 of june.

Maybe i can find another place, if not i have to wait.

If the black one, are a success.

Then we will try, to make a white sergeant one.

And at last, a orange.

The leather shop, got plenty of good leather/plastic leather in white and black...

The orange is okay too, in a light orange...

We shall see.

Cheers ;) .

Rolf my man, you dont miss a trick.

You're an inspiration to us all.

I salute you (NOOOOOOOOOOOO!, wheres the salute emoticon?)

Ha ha ha your guys are the GREATEST!!!!, PERIOD!!! :D .

We got enough black here, to do a private one from skratch.

Today i buy some nice stiff item, to put in the layers.

And some nice nylon, to go under the pauldron.

If it turn out nice, we will go for a sergeant one too.

(lets see, if Sara think it still funny from there.

If not, maybe i make a few whit some tailor help).

Cheers bro´s.

Here is the blue prints for Sara and i next pauldron, made from the ground.

I found some very nice stiff cloth like to put in it, and some thick black nylon to go down under it.

I don´t think we will make more then a few, just make a few for the fun of it.

(we also got the velcro, and metal dots ready here for it)

Here you see him, so far :) .
