Looks great Rolf! I'll never understand how you manage to get so much assembled in such a short amount of time.

Thanks bro :D .

I have been sketching, since i was born.

I did not stop whit it, and when i turn 11 years old i start to paint too as a graffiti writer.

My dad get me big lawful walls here and there, and we paint some big ones together.

I still paint the graffiti today, and not as a vandal.

I like to do something beautiful, people can look at.

I start doing canvas, for about 5 years ago too.

So i guess, i used to the high speed when i´m creative.

C ya Zac :) .

Freaking awesome! Hope you don/t drive like you are making armor man.

Are you still going to polish it with all the painted details?

Thanks for sharing.

They call me the:

To fast too furious triple x aka the van diesel trooper :angry:

I polish it before i humbrol detail paint the helmet.

It is not as glossy as the body armor  .

But i don´t think it matter, when the weathering and hair spray comes on it.

Then it will match perfect, i´m sure ;) .

I´m no chemical genius, but it seems that the acetone base 4-1 made the body armor more glossy.

When i took off, the early done paint job.

Maybe the spray paint did get into the plastic, mixed up whit the acetone.

I don´t know...

The acetone i used, did not make any damage on my suit.

But beware, it can be very strong stuff.

If you put too much on the thinner parts, it might crack.

If i get another TE2 suit, i will still not paint it.

But go for a polish job look.

If you go the sand trooper way, it will sure give you a very authentic look.

The polish matt hips turn a but more glossy, the weathering makes it old and used.

The hair spray, give it a nice milky yellow white glossy look to it.

If i will go the storm trooper way, i will still only polish it.

Maybe give a hair spray job, to glossy it a bit more up.

Whit a very small death star black weathering job, on it.

Cheers buddy :) .

Another impressive helmet. I would love to know your technique for painting those tube stripes and what colour you used. Seems to be spot on.

I just use some paint tape.

Heres a picture from my last done helmet ;) .

I just find the middle of it, for number 7.

If you wanna make 13 stripes.

(move a long have 13 right side, 16 left.

Stop that ship 13 left and right.

Some do have more or less)

I then cut a thick paper, in the same size as the space between the two tape sides.

Then i cut a nice bow on the paper slip, for the strips.

Then i just make them, so there is authentic space/look between the strips.

Then i paint it whit a nice brush.

Let it dry, for a short white.

Take off the paint tape.

If there are any pencil stripes, beside the painted ones.

Take them off whit water/rubber/eraser, the day after.

So you are sure it all totally dry.

And there you have it.

Cheers :) .

I just forgot one thing.

If you never wanna troop in the suit, and only use it for a display.

I will spray paint it for sure.

I have another TE2 helmet, assemble by the midnight trooper.

I think its spray painted whit rustoleum.

It feels pretty solid.

(but paint can all ways come off, if you troop in it i guess).

I think its the brand to use, if you wanna spray paint the monster.

Troop on :) .
