Rolf Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Here is a picture of my pouch. I got it like this, dyed black on the out side. All most every time i see them, they are dyed like this. My question is: Did the ww2 german army dyed them like this, or have most of the former owners dyed them. Looks to me, that they was dyed on the front back then ww2. Because most of the pouches are brown/ original leather. I think they had better things to do at the front than painting their pouches Not saying that there aren't actually black ones, maybe the black ones were only for special forces, like fallschirmjägers/SS and the ordinary brown ones for the wehrmacht e.g. But as I said, it is an assumption..
