Dirty Trooper
Hey all! I got my armor put together. I also went the acrylic paint with the sand liquitex route to weather my armor. I must say it looks **** good! My wife thinks the weathering is overkill and that I used too much. I will admit that I did get my armor super filthy, but I think it looks killer! Anyway, can a sandie be too dirty??? Don't know how to post pics on the forums, but it you tell me how to do it I'll try and get some up. Your thoughts???? jpbasso
I don't know if you can be "officially too dirty", but if you are happy that's what is most important.
Theo
Good rule of thumb? If people compliment you on your 'Swamp Thing' costume, its time to pull out the scrub brush.

TD-4242
My first attempt was a little too dirty. I busted out with some goof off and scrubbed it back down to too clean. This had an excelent side effect of taking all shine off hte armor as well. I then had a friend from my garrison TD-0013 do my dirt for two reasons. A. he is an artist in his own right and I really liked what he'd done with his and a few others armor. B. I wanted to make sure that I looked similar to other sandies I'd be trooping with. jpbasso
Yeah, I'm happy I went with the tempera paints. I've already had to fix a few "goofs."
TD1149
Hey there TDWannabe. I don't think you can be to dirty. Take a look at my armor. I must admit I was a little paranoid about it before I went to C3 but once there I heard nothing but compliments. Keep it filthy!
