Based on a toy gun with a 'pulsating' barrel (not pictured nor necessary) to make the receiver & main barrel sleeve detachable, I used a plastic jar with a screw on lid the jar is forced into the sleeve, while the lid was cut to fit the receiver (around the pre-existing coupling for the toy guns 'internal' barrel) To complete the sling, I ran a lighter along the hessian sling in order to burn down all the fibres.
