SandtrooperScout
Ok Troops, well on my way to constructing my first pack, and I've a question. How long have you made your tubes? I've seen any where from 34" to 24". Right now mine is cut to 34", but it seems a bit long to me....
TD1149
With the end caps mine is 32".
motman241
I say make your backpack fit you, first. Then fit the tube to the pack. All should be in equal proportion.

Jack_bauer
Assuming the marmit Sandtrooper is 6; tall to the top of his bucket, the tube is 35.54" tall from tip to tip. I evened off mine to 35" even. We have the entire Marmit pack on AutoCad and each seperate part measured to the millimeter. Pretty cool. And fun to do. Had to do it for the MDK Pack project.
