try drag-and-drop...

open another window of your explorer and hold the left mouse button pressed down while moving it to the other window! after the picture is moved from the original window it should be possible to save or print it like you do it usually!

if this all doesn´t work, PM the adress and i will try what i can do...

Got no clue how computer savy you are, so this is my brain dead version of how to do it, with just a base XP machine.

Pull up the page with the 'projected' image.

Hit print screen. This copies the image to clip board.

Now start up Paint (if you have photoshop, or something better, then so much the better).

Do Paste, so the image from clipboard is pasted into your current document.

Use the dotted line square tool (top right on the default tool bar) to draw a box around the actual image you want.

Do Control + C to copy just that area into clipboard.

Create a new document, and Control + P clipboard into the new document.

Save your now unprotected image (if it is the XP version of Paint, go ahead and use JPG instead of BMP so the file size isn't insane).

If when you pasted the cropped image into paint, there was a white boarder somewhere, just make your default paint document smaller, and repaste it. (Menu bar, Image, Attriube, and set the size to something small; when you paste in the cropped image, it will grow the document to the clipboard image size).

Thanks for your help guys I managed to get them through my temporary internet files although they are not the full resolution of the originals, but the same as what was displayed.

The images are on the IMDB.com website and a few in the garbage compactor that I haven't seen before. The main one that I love is with Han and Luke escorting Chewie to the detention block in their armour. That has to be one of,if not the best trooper pic from ANH,it's just awesome! If anyone has that hi-res image I would really appreciate it

Just FYI: When people protect their images using javascript (like when you right click and get a "no-no" popup box), you can often just go into your browser prefs and turn off javascript, then right-click to your heart's content.

Great pics, btw.

  • 3 weeks later...

Pictures are gone again.

With IMDB.com you can also open the image, open "View" and "Page Source", copy the link of the picture into another browser and then save it from there. It takes a little while... but well worth it as you get the high-res picture.

Any way of sending those pictures my way too, please? no.humor.man@webspeed.dk

Thanks
