*DONE* TD-24294 requesting deployment

Recommended Posts

Hello Gino, welcome and thank you for your interest in becoming an MEPD deployed officer.

This is a nice and tidy application, well done. Your gear looks great and suits your really well.

There is just one problem, is it possible to upload your images in a higher quality? Some of them are really grainy and it is hard for me to identify the details.

I assume that this is an RS comission, they mostly come with the wrong pouch for the side of the ammobelt, as canvas pouches aren´t allowed there. Please have a look at the requirements for PO to get an idea what kind of pouches you can use for that location:

I think the ammobelt overall is sitting slightly too high, you should move it further down.

It´s a great improvement that RS has changed the color of the bottles on their packs to the battleship grey but at first sight I would say that those bottles seem a little long. I´ll have to think about that.

Your E-11 looks almost too factory-fresh, add a little bit of weathering.

It would be great if you could provide some pictures of better quality, then I will be taking care of your application.

Cheers mate

Hello Hausi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can you specify which pictures you want clearer? it's not possible to upload them all bigger because the limit given is 0.08MB.

For the ammo pouch, I will dig in to it and order another one asap.

How much you think the ammo belt should move down?

I Will start on weathering the E-11 Blaster.

Hi, Here my 2nd attempt for the pictures, My GML told me to upload the pictures like this, so they are in full-resolution: https://imgur.com/gallery/mvgxWut

-Ammo pouches are ordered.

How much you think the ammo belt should move down?

New pictures from the E-11 blaster are also posted in the gallery.

Yours sincerely,

Gino

Hi Gino, try using a picture hosting site, I for example am using directupload.net, you simply upload the pic, then copy the link and post it in your thread.

I´ve just had a look at my references and I was wrong:

ivep8awg.jpg

I am very happy with the position of your belt, so way to go!:duim:

Everything else looks pretty good too, I´ll wait for you to get the new pouch and finish the weathering on your blaster. Actually just giving it a wash with some watered down earth color should get the job done. You´ve overdone it a little with the wear and tear weathering as the T-stripes are made out of plastic so they wouldn´t appear silver  because of paint chips, same goes for the grip which is also made of black plastic on the Sterlings.

Hi Gino, thank you for the higher resolution pics, now I can see all those details. :duim:

The large Spanish pouch looks good, the roadblock pouch will be okay, the weathering on your blaster looks good too.

I'm on a trip till Tuesday, will write your review when I'm back.

Strapping/thighs: not a big problem but especially in your new pics, the strapping keeping the thighs in place seems to be too long, the thighs are positioned too low and there is too much black of the undersuit visible, so please adjust them to the proper height, it will look better that way. That of course means that you will have to suit up one more time but that hopefully won´t be such a problem.

pbvoiuvu.jpg

Pouches: great that you have those correct pouches now Gino but they still look factory-fresh, use some fine sandpaper to roughen them up slightly and then give them a wash with some watered down earth-colored acrylics.

Canvas belt waist: your canvas belt is too clean at the back where it normally is hidden by the pack, so please put some dirt on it.

Gino, this was your first review!

I really appreciate your willingness to improve your armor and although it already looks great and suits you well, it will finally look even better.

Those changes are no big deal and I expect to hear from you soon again, keep up the great work.

Cheers mate

Hi Hausi,

Thanks for the review. I'm really happy that so much is checked and cleared. :duim:

You're right about the blaster it's a lot better now.

About the needed changes, that shouldn't be a problem. I will go and weather the pouches and dirt up the belt.

About the tighs, I think I'm able to lift them 2-3cm by shorten the strappings. I hope this would be enough? I left the gap on the top a bit to high so my gap on the knees wouldn't be so big.

Don't wurry about the suiting up again:duim:

Pictures will follow during the week. I've holliday this week so time enough to get dirty:peace:

Yeah I'm not that short :D

I've managed to raise the shins about 2cm, that's the highest I can get them because they are hitting my buttocks in the back now.

The belt has had a was with some potting soil.

And the ammo pouches have been weathered on the edges  and some subtle space with a fine sandpaper.  Personal I like the weathering of the Spanish pouch more because the colors of the leather are nicer. But I'm also using the roadblock pouch to store my wallet etc.

Everything looks sharp now, if you feel more comfortable with the thighs sitting a little lower for trooping, that is up to you and absolutely okay.

The pouches have that used-look now, well done.

The belt now also is in line with the rest of your weathering.
