Putting together a pack so thought I would post my progress, this could be a slow build as at the moment I am collecting parts.

This is what I have (in hand) so far:-

Shires UP80 toilet siphon (From my parents old bathroom suite)

Tupperware lid (from my grandmother's old house, playing around with casting this at the moment)

Brexton Vintage picnic lunch sandwich box 1950's (received today in the post from eBay, they had two so got them both)

What I am waiting on:-

Another Shires Syphon UP85 (bought from a local classifieds site after alot of digging around)

Karrimor Karbou (blue/green) series aluminium frame hiking bag (ordered from Ebay)

Lion Star Canteen ordered from Vincent

Lovely collection of parts - get your self down to B&Q for your tube, fortunately I believe they are still a standard size.

Thanks John, not sure if there is a B&Q near me, what item is the tube sold as?, they might have it at the local builders yard

That’s a great bunch of old plastic junk you have there, mate!    :duim:

I will watch this closely...

I still envy you for the siphons...you know I’m always right behind you to jump on one of them, right?  :whistling:

Are these the right plungers for the mushroom caps?

At the moment I seem to be leaning towards pack 3, roughly what size black plastic pipe are people using?, I have found two in my garden earlier left over from past jobs, the first has an outside diameter of 66mm, I have asked Ross and he does the end caps and a greeblie to suit, I also have a length of 60.5mm OD conduit

The mortartube has an outside diameter of 66mm and Ross's endcaps fit that perfectly. Strangely that kind of pipe in that size is not available in Germany but Ross was so kind to get some and send it to me. :)

Those plunger caps look good too.

I'm looking forward to seeing your progress! :salute:

Thank you Urs,

Ross is a great guy, if you ever need more of the 66mm black pipe let me know, they always have it at my local builders suppliers.

Would you happen to know what length to cut the pipe for pack 3?

I have ordered two plungers! :D

Thank you Chris, that is very kind of you. :salute:

Thomas is right about the length, it's best to wait until you have received all parts, first and foremost the frame, and then you can just lay them together to get an estimate for the length of the mortartube.

I can measure my mortartube when I'm back home.

That makes sense!
Hopefully will get my frame soon.

Does this conditioner bottle look like a possible candidate for the canisters?

Exactly what I have but shampoo, in black

Great John, I only had one old one knocking about so went to Tesco today to get another one, they are really cheap too at €3.50 and readily available.

Hopefully my plungers will come apart as easily as yours and in the same way! :D

Toilet plungers arrived, came apart easily as John mentioned.

Sized one up with the conditioner bottle, the bottle looks slightly narrow to my eye in relation to the mushroom cap but will wait until I have more of the pack together to compare sizes.

In relation to the top bottle mine does look a bit narrow, but strangely enough the bottom bottle looks closer with a side by side comparison, maybe it is just the way the way the cap is sitting on the bottle on the screen used one, it might not be positioned straight
