Marv
Lovely collection of parts - get your self down to B&Q for your tube, fortunately I believe they are still a standard size.

Marv
Think its just a down pipe so would definitely be available to buy in a builders yard.

I still envy you for the siphons...you know I’m always right behind you to jump on one of them, right?

welshchris77
Are these the right plungers for the mushroom caps? https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Wooden-Plunger-Large-For-Toilet-Sink-Drain-Bath-Shower-Plumbing/192021028921?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 At the moment I seem to be leaning towards pack 3, roughly what size black plastic pipe are people using?, I have found two in my garden earlier left over from past jobs, the first has an outside diameter of 66mm, I have asked Ross and he does the end caps and a greeblie to suit, I also have a length of 60.5mm OD conduit
Hausi
The mortartube has an outside diameter of 66mm and Ross's endcaps fit that perfectly. Strangely that kind of pipe in that size is not available in Germany but Ross was so kind to get some and send it to me. Those plunger caps look good too. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress! Thank you Urs, Ross is a great guy, if you ever need more of the 66mm black pipe let me know, they always have it at my local builders suppliers. Would you happen to know what length to cut the pipe for pack 3? I have ordered two plungers!
bigwam
I think the exact length will follow during the construction. It may well be that you may have to cut something else.

Thank you Chris, that is very kind of you. Thomas is right about the length, it's best to wait until you have received all parts, first and foremost the frame, and then you can just lay them together to get an estimate for the length of the mortartube. I can measure my mortartube when I'm back home.

Marv
Plunger looks right too, it simply unscrews and the handle and disc will come off.

Hopefully my plungers will come apart as easily as yours and in the same way!
welshchris77
Tried out the dish with two different size dome nuts, M8 and M6, the smaller sized M6 looks closer I think to screen shots than the M8.Thoughts?Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk

welshchris77
Mail call today, got my rucksack and UP85, yay!Did a side by side of the 80 next to my 85, only 10mm in the difference hight wise.Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
welshchris77
Toilet plungers arrived, came apart easily as John mentioned.Sized one up with the conditioner bottle, the bottle looks slightly narrow to my eye in relation to the mushroom cap but will wait until I have more of the pack together to compare sizes.Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
RoCKo
Great progress, Chris! Your bottle might be a little bit too slim compared to the original bottle... And I’d go for the M8 for the radar dish...
welshchris77
Thanks Roger, I agree, will look for a larger diameter bottle, I will also change to a M8 nut size
welshchris77
In relation to the top bottle mine does look a bit narrow, but strangely enough the bottom bottle looks closer with a side by side comparison, maybe it is just the way the way the cap is sitting on the bottle on the screen used one, it might not be positioned straight Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
