ikinaceous 16 Posted May 6, 2019 What’s the consensus on sealing off weathering that’s done with acrylics etc. Do people use clear coats or a gloss finish... or just leave weathering as is? I’m guessing the originals didn’t have a top coat. Cheers
DarthStevius 202 Posted May 8, 2019 I used acrylics and didn't apply any sort of top coat. It's lasted me almost 50 troops with no issues so far
Darren 1 Posted May 9, 2019 No need for a top coat. Once it's dry it takes some real effort to remove it, so it's all good. The originals on set were dirt and oil and grease and had to be re-done during filming.
Dragon_a 29 Posted May 14, 2019 I weathered using acrylics, the to seal it got a can of the cheapest nastiest hairspray from coles (I see you're an Aussie). Worked perfectly so far.
