Hi everyone!!

My name is Tori, my husband is currently a TK in the 501st and I have been handling a lot for events and have been wanting to be a part of it myself as well.

This is my first trooper and I am extremely excited about it. I have been putting together a Jawa recently and this fell in my lap for a steal! I was just hoping people more experienced could provide me with your opinion on improvements to be made before submitting for 501st approval.

Thank you!!!

Hey Tori, welcome to the MEPD:salute: looks very cool already! And what is even more important, you look extremely happy:)

You have done a good job in making that kit fit but RebelHunter is right, the chest is sitting very low, I assume you are one of the smaller troopers, you can fix that problem by widening the neck opening and shortening the two pieces where you have attached the shoulder straps, don't worry about the returnedge as it won't be visible because of the pauldron anyway. That way you should be able to move the chest up.

Thanks guys!! I am very happy, I love being able to share this hobby with my husband and having my own kit is exciting.

One of our friends actually put together the kit so he was able to help us make those adjustments. I’ll post an update late today

@Lady_Curtis17 - just noticed this thread as I am assisting a prospective female member of our Outpost to get kitted up as a TD (I am GML of the UAE Outpost).

Has your kit received approval since April? You mention that a friend has made mods to the armour to suit you. Our future member is approximately the same height as you - are you able to describe what specific parts were adjusted to suit? Was it a matter of shortening the strapping system or were more serious (trims perhaps) made to the armour to help make it fit?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Grant/TD-27090

Hello there! I have been approved since April, haven’t posted any pictures because unfortunately I am now 9 months pregnant and didn’t get to wear it but one time prior lol

Only things I adjusted before approval was shortening the strapping systems on my arms, slimmed my forearm pieces and trimmed the back of the thigh armor to prevent armor bites.

Hope that is helpful!!
