rawktrooper
Use a small bolt or screw and either use a small nut inside the tube (which will be invisible when its sealed shut by the end cap), or do the reverse and set the bolt inside the tube with glue and use the nut on the outside of the mount. I am not a fan of the zip tie idea either. Not sure how "approved" this idea is, but i have used it on both packs i have built and its not even noticeable unless you are looking for it. CrookKnight
I use 1.5 inch long black self tapping screws. I start on the frame side and drill a pilot hole. Then I insert the screw and screw it through the pack frame and into mortar tube. I only use 2 screws. It holds very well for me and my packs. I do the same thing for the pipe on the other side. Airborne Trooper
You put a hole in the tube so you can access it with a screw driver and another hole on the other side of the pipe. The screw that holds the karrimor horizontal bar is what I used. put the screw inside the pipe and it goes into the frame. Mine is only held in place there and hasn't budged. if you look at the picture you see the little hole. This is screen accurate.
RoCKo
And look at the screenused pictures closely... Place upper hole here...
