knopi
Hi mates, i am build a TD at the Moment an i have a Little question. I want to do the pack #2 trooper from the "door Party" Scene. on his left hip is a pounch and i dont think it is a mp40 pounch... I think it's a stgw 44 but without the Little pocket on it. what do you think about it or do you know it? Thanks and Keep on rocking
bigwam
I´m think like you. I mean, this is a STGW44 Pouch and no MP40 Pouch. The pouch looks more quadratic like the STGW44 Pouch and not rectangular like the MP40 or Stolla Pouch.
RoCKo
Also take a look at WW2 german MP44 pouches... I found this ages ago, unfortunatly all pictures are gone... **** Photobucket! http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?/topic/5504-is-that-a-mp44-canvas-hip-pouch/
dutchy
I can remember this discusson too. I personally favor the STG pouch as well but it doesn't do it for me 100% as the magazines of the STG were slightly curved and this pouch looks straight and to be made from leather. And the "assumed" toolpouch I'm not sure about that too...it could also be the buttstock of a blaster to me.
RoCKo
Since the prop department obviously did produce their own interpretation of the screenused hip/shoulder MP40 pouches this might also been a custom made pouch... i guess we will never know untill there will be more detailed images available! Exactly, for now you can't go wrong with the STG44 pouch.

knopi
for all they want to know, the STGW 44 is not the pounch we Need it is much too big! We are now at the point where we believe that this Punch is custom made. i ordered a mp40 now and will se to costumize it. here are pics of the stgw
bigwam
Yes, it is too big. I think, like we talked about, it is a shortened MP40 Pouch or a custom Pouch.
Markus ' tiny ' Zeitvogel
Here is another close pic from a other scene. I think I have seen a similar one from the US army ww2 era... Maybe not. Haha...

Markus ' tiny ' Zeitvogel
Maybe I am wrong, I had search a lot these days for the origin of pouches and Bandolier. Sometimes the overview get lost..... Thanks for the hint
