darthRivera
Hello everyone! I am planning to convert my TX ATA armor (ABS) to TD. Of course in addition to the basic modifications (buttoms, diamond plate, etc) I need to paint white the whole armor. I do not know what paint to use, glossy white or matte white? Thanks for the help.
TD42115
Welcome, Thats a feat in its self to go from TX to TK/TD. Sand the black abs down to rough and good plastic primer before paint will be a good idea to get the adhesion to the black abs. Might be an idea but sell the TX and buy a white kit to make into a TD. I have seen it done with good results, just very time consuming to make a change like that. Good luck on the move to the dirty side.
darthRivera
Thanks for the feedback. Sell the armor was always the first option. But I have not been lucky with that. Rogue One is close and there is no more time to wait. So I decided to do the conversion. I do not see the painting process complicated. But I have doubt, gloss or matte? Airborne Trooper
I want to lean to gloss since the ABS has a natural shine to it. This is going to be a tough project but looking forward to seeing your end results.

Primer, paint, and now weathering, More updates soon

The photos dont show it as it really is. Maybe light problems. Or the quality of the camera. I dont know. Also, I might have missed it, but why the conversion? It is a long story. But it all started with the comment of my 6-year-old daughter: Dad, why your armor is not shown in the movies?
