BadBatch Posted March 9, 2016 Share Posted March 9, 2016 My plan for weathering was to go for a "Screw General Veers, he's not coming down to this godforsaken catbox of a planet, so I'm going to do the bare minimum gear maintenance!" sort of look.I basically wanted all the smooth/raised areas to look moderately clean, but with gunk in all the recesses.What do you all think? Did I hit the mark?After everything is complete I'm going to give the legs and torso a light dusting of sandy brown with my airbrush.Thoughts? You might consider putting a bit more on your boots and bottom of the shins, since if you were in the movie, those would be actually walking in the sand and would be the dirtiest. Might i suggest a dark wash for the armor, just to dull it up and keep the shine at bay. i have found that using a damp rag and a darker mixture of acrylic paints applied to the damp cloth then blotted & swirled onto armor helps keep a consistent dull look to the armor and minimizes the shine..
